A remix that takes just the vocals from deadmau5 & Kiesza's track Bridged by a Lightwave and builds something big and melodic around it, inspired by (but not quite like) Gryffin and Illenium. After hearing the vocals in Bridged by a Lightwave we went looking for a remix that's been done in this style, and unable to find one, we made it ourselves. Hope you enjoy!

When I was 19 I lived in Kitchener Waterloo with two of my best friends and it was some of the most fun I’ve ever had. We would drive around to the middle of nowhere, fall asleep in a field, have stupid conversations, dye mashed potatoes blue and try to solve this giant 1000 pieces puzzle with flying dolphins. 

I still think about the specialness of what we had and miss it. The creativity retreat I went to in Ibiza last year reminded me of this time, and right after the retreat I wrote this song to capture the feeling. 

In our house in Kitchener we would listen to this one album by Private Island called “Sunbreak” front to back, and it’s the main inspiration for the production of this track. 

The lyrics are about my decision to stay on Ibiza after the retreat, which I ended up doing for two and a half months — but it’s also about listening to my inner voice and staying the course no matter how difficult things get, because I find that more often than not: good things happen when I stay.
