Zapped Cast Series

The first volume of our VA Series known as Club Mates

First up Australian producer Thomas David with his track "On" - a beautiful piece of atmospheric minimal with creeping synth lines and a tight growling bassline showcasing his signature production style inspired by the Romanian Minimal movement.

DOJAS follows with a functional dancefloor track, perfect to inject some summer vibes into any set.

Hanzo brings a slower dubby feel to the collection with a slow burning number filled with rich sound design and warm bass.

Cooper Dodge rounds out the release with Thru Passage - an excellent example of the minimal sound coming out of Melbourne, Australia at present.

Club Mates Volume 1


"Love Boi" – a percussion-heavy, seven-minute journey with deep subs and dreamy synths. The title track "Soft Baddies" follows, with groovy percussion and trippy acid. On the flip, Luise reimagines "Love Boi" with hypnotic atmospheres and bouncy bass, while Antja strips it back to raw, dubby drums and heavy low-end.

February 2024 sees the inauguration of Zapped Records from Berlin-based collective with releases scheduled from Annina, Ujin, Rascal, and Jonaku as Ned Flangerz, the latter of which kicks off the label with his ‘Ninja Kicks’ EP.

"Get Zapped" is a light hearted minimal house cut just in time for summer - as well suited to an open air as it is for the club. The track from Zapped Records resident Jonaku features a chunky bassline and deliciously loopy synth work spattered with funky vox chops and glittering FX. A strong offering for the first release of Zapped Records' free series.

Ahead of his remix of Sunshine to be released 17.05 as part of Rascal's No Tricks Ep we were lucky enough to get our hands on this recording from Rangø's set at @suedpol-hamburg 

Recorded on 23rd March 2024 the set showcases Rangø's focused minimal house style, perfect for hypnotizing the dancefloor!

The two Zapped residents have proven their ability to command attention by dancers in some of Berlin's finest venues such as Watergate and of course Katerblau where this set was recorded. DOJAS stands for grooves in all shades of House and after refining his sound during residency at Berlin club Chalet in 2018 he's played some of the cities best clubs including KaterBlau, Sisyphos, GoldenGate and Renate in recent years.

Since moving to Berlin, he quickly found his way into the scene and after just two years became a resident at the "Bordel Des Arts" party series at Renate and at the "TRYLAND" event at Watergate. As a member of the Jonny Knüppel crew, he also began expanding and playing at their own club in 2015.

In addition to his three labels "Bladehouse", "PAULUM." & "Make Scents Audio", he is now represented on labels such as Bar25, Acker Records, Pour La Vie, As Usual, Criminal Bassline & Lauter.records.

At the beginning of 2020, he began to expand his alter ego "CVO" and bring it to the public where he explores groovy minimal and micro house.
