The next release on Allergy Season has Physical Therapy showing off his range. “My Experience” features 4 versions of the same lyrical lick in increasingly deconstructed forms.

First is the Subjective Mix, a life-affirming tech-house roller coated in glistening keys built atop a room-shaking bassline. Next, the Objective Mix, a minimal funhouse acid trip, flips the buoyant energy of the first version on it’s head.

The Unreliable Narrator Mix, featuring vocals from Physical Therapy, is a slow and psychedelic soundtrack to an internal monologue. Finishing things off is the Unreliable Narrator Dub, a dub of a dub if you will, letting the lyrics finally fall apart in a sonic ego death.

Mel C est musicienne depuis l’enfance. Elle découvre la MAO à l’adolescence, et compose alors ses premiers morceaux, tout en se passionnant pour l’objet vinyle en fouinant chez les disquaires et dans les brocantes, à la recherche de vieux disques de blues, rock et jazz.

Quelques années plus tard, elle s’intéresse au DJing et s’y initie avec rigueur, élargissant ses frontières musicales à différents genres, avec un goût prononcé pour la vibe oldschool, et toujours à la recherche du groove, quel que soit le style emprunté derrière les platines.

Elle poursuit parallèlement la production et sort en 2021 le morceau « Talking to myself » sur le label Chineurs de House.

Aujourd’hui active sur la scène locale française, elle a notamment joué au Djoon, Sacré, Mazette, International, Rotonde… Elle est également résidente du Discobar (Paris) et de la Sacré Radio.
