Returning to Viper after a hefty debut on Future Fire Vol. 5 “SMILE4ME”, Rob Gasser’s first solo release on the label is not one to miss.

A legend in the wider bass music scene already, Rob Gasser’s return to DnB is big news. “Pressure” is a complex, sinister number that exudes chaos from the get go. Channeling his influences across the electronic music spectrum, “Pressure” brings the intensity of techno together with sci-fi synths and a frenzied drop that will light dancefloors on fire the world over; this one is made for the club.

On the flipside, “Stay With Me” brings more of the whimsical sounds he’s known for – bubbly, effervescent, and bouncy with infectious vocals throughout. Elements of liquid, complextro, and beyond come together for a truly unique result, proving the creative limits of Drum & Bass really are boundless.

Rob Gasser shines with two completely different but equally fantastic records, carving a niche for himself in the world of DnB and fitting right in on the label amongst the scene’s best and brightest. Stay tuned for more in 2025!

After releasing the massive “Palace” at the start of the year, Bugwell is back on Viper, this time with “World is Mine”.

An enticing opening sets a calm scene, gently drawing the listener in with dreamy vocals taking centre stage amidst a dreamy soundscape. Magical and alluring, Bugwell slowly brings up the heat as the track builds towards the drop, exploding into a colourful array of vibrant dancefloor sounds.

In some ways nostalgic, and in some ways future-facing, “World is Mine” stands out as a catchy and unique record under the Bugwell moniker. Vibrant and familiar with strong vocals, “World is Mine” is set to be a fan favourite.

Two of the most forward-thinking names in electronic music and key figures in the Evolution Chamber camp, Joe Ford and Task Horizon unite for a project that feels as ambitious as it is personal. ‘In Orbit’ — a four-part collaboration rooted in a chance conversation and fuelled by a mutual drive to explore new musical territory — invites listeners into a world of precision-engineered sound design, cinematic storytelling, and creative freedom.

The series begins with “Where Is The Moon?”, a track that sets the conceptual and emotional tone for what’s to follow. Featuring an exceptional vocal performance from The Velvet Effect, this first chapter is anything but typical. Opening with a bed of atmospheric textures, the track establishes a mood that feels expansive yet intimate — before The Velvet Effect’s vocals gradually emerge, adding depth and narrative weight that elevates the entire composition.

As the track unfolds, tight, stop-start melodic phrasing acts as the engine room, creating a feeling of suspension and anticipation. These intricate structures — paired with The Velvet Effect’s haunting delivery — guide the track into a beautifully restrained yet powerful drop. Returning for its 6th instalment, the ever-popular Future Fire series is back with another EP packed full of the hottest emerging talent in the scene.

Handpicked by label boss Futurebound who has an undeniable knack for spotting the next big thing, the Future Fire series celebrates the best and brightest lesser-known names in DnB, shining a much-deserved spotlight on the hottest up-and-comers.

The first track comes from AC MC & Jaydan with “Show Love”. Summer vibes right from the start, the track is upbeat and bright with warm vocals and glimmering pads throughout. Sharing a spotlight between AC MC’s infectious bars and Jaydan’s bubbly production, this is top shelf DnB from guaranteed future stars of the scene.

Next up is Doloren, winner of the Futurebound “Dangerous” remix competition last year, and now returning with a fire original number. Demonstrating a true knack for dancefloor, his track “Wanna Do” is the epitome of the classic Viper sound and stands tall against the label’s biggest names.

Another familiar name to the label, DEAD WAX returns to Viper with “What I Can Do”. A slightly ominous number, the build-up to the drop is so full of adrenaline before unleashing into a vibrant and again classic Viper sound that will set gun fingers ablaze the world over.

Two more familiar faces to return, AL/SO teams up with Sensus on “Skybound”. Leaning more into the darker side of dancefloor, this dystopian stomper is fast-paced and frenzied, and sure to keep the listener on the edge of their seat.

Last but not least, Hijacker makes their label debut with “Walk Away”. An emotive number with a menacing underbelly, this is yet another prime example of the abundance of talent in the scene that deserves to be shouted about.
