‘Make Me Believe’ takes you through the emotions of a new relationship, the self-doubt that we all sometimes feel and the hope of something that will grow and blossom into the future. I wrote the song as a cathartic way of dealing with my heartbreak. It was a difficult time, and I was struggling emotionally, looking for answers deep within myself. However, for me at least, music has always been a source of inspiration and hope since I was a child. ’Make Me Believe’ is a bitter-sweet kind of song, but the main message I want to give is that hope is more powerful than fear, that there is always something better to believe in and reach out to.

It’s written from the perspective of a strong, independent woman who isn’t afraid to sing about her sexual desires and who finds joy in her self-pleasure. She does it when she wants it and how wants it, without any fear of judgement or shame. She loves herself and isn’t afraid to express it.

Zaritza's music and personal story are a journey of juxtaposition: from rich artistic traditions amid austere living conditions in her native rural Russia to the freedom, innovation and kinetic multiculturalism of her adopted home in New York City.  Raised in a village near the Ural Mountains and highly-trained as a competition-winning classical pianist, Zaritza left Russia --and a full scholarship at one of its top universities-- to break from its cultural constraints and pursue her creative ambitions as a composer and performer of modern pop/rock music. 
 
Her music combines dramatic undertones and romantic melodies from her Russian classical roots with the rhythmic pulse, ethereal soundscapes and edgy attitudes of American electro-pop/rock. Zaritza's performance credits in the U.S. include appearing as an opening act for the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, the Newport International Film Festival, the Rainbow Room and the Metropolitan Room in New York.
