This song is me wanting to be who I am, and for others to let me be so, because honestly, in terms of Universal significance, we're actually pretty small. To me, this means I  can exist as who I really am. Why should I hide? 

Heyhey

This is a piece from a Christmas movie from my childhood called "The Snowman". The piece is called "Walking in the Air", and I always wanted to reimagine it, but I could never get quiet through the first part. For some reason I got this weird bug and dropped everything I was doing and used some nice orchestral patches I acquired not long ago to create this new version. Different key, slightly less busy, clearly due to my reservation as somebody never having done this kind of thing before. But, like I always tell people...if its in your head, you can find a way to bring it to life. Feedback is appreciated. Vocals coming soon...if I can somehow de-age myself into a seven year old boy. Yikes.

A dream I had. In it I experienced ultimate clarity. In it my brain projected an image of love to me so that I could see it. When I awoke, my initial reaction was anger that the dream had in fact been merely a dream. Yet I then knew I had to chase that dream. I had to make it real, somehow. So I wrote this song. Streetlights sing Hallelujah. And this, at the time had the highest note I could sing.

A Rather Rude Awakening

A gift was given me a long time ago. Sometimes that gift is all I have. Amongst poverty and rejection, there is, and has always been, something past all that. There is a place for all of us, beyond where we are now. Who I was and who I am becoming. I sang myself to sleep with this song. It is my lullaby. It is my transition.

The Transition

This song is about an grumpy, angry, old man, who sees a young woman kneeling by a stream. She asks him to follow her, and they take flight. The man is enthralled with her, but sees the weaknesses within himself from what his long life has done to him. He is amazed that even with this weight from the world he can still fly with her. This weight drags him down to the point that he cannot fly any longer, and crashes through the ocean into the depths of hell. But through the darkness, he hears her voice calling to him, telling him that if he trusts her, to stand up. All of a sudden, the landscape changes, and he is in a heavenly place. The old man has died, free from his sins, the weight of the world, and the last words of the angel are "come through".  

Upon The Treasured Fabled Skyway

I met somebody so completely different once that it changed me forever. She had been through ultimate hell. Worse than I had ever heard of. She told me of it. She cried on my shoulder. I cried on her shoulder. And then she was gone. I knew her for only about a week, and I was left with this mark made by this person that had been through so much, had so much taken from her, that I had to write something to immortalize what I had seen, what I had come to understand, lest I forget.
