This is the first entry on the "Dreaming About..." series where I try to lure some of my favorite festivals to book me for one of their stages.

We start with the almighty Boom Festival, which has a special place in my heart as I supported it during its initial years but never got to perform there and would love to correct this someday.

Sub Chunk, electronic music producers duo. Born and raised in Bogotá, the city that has witnessed how, for the last couple of years, they stand out for their unique taste in music, which can oscillate between Deep House vibes, Tech House grooves, Progressive melodies and retro colors; sometimes has been classified as “unclassifiable”, and some others simply as “Sub Chunk’s Sound”.

Since their beginnings they decided to undertake a challenge: to create scenarios where only the best electronic music is delivered in a unique and versatile way. That’s why, the audience will definitely be part not only of a progression of tracks, but a story along their DJ set, hybrid or live show, show which they perform in different formats, sometimes using electric guitar, voices, synths or live percussion.

Bio:

An Alex Volta führt in München aktuell kein Weg vorbei. Innerhalb weniger Jahre hat er in der Szene in seiner Heimatstadt bereits bemerkenswerte Wellen geschlagen und ihr seinen ganz eigenen Stempel aufgedrückt. In seinen Sets vermischen sich Afro House, Indie Dance und Melodic Techno zu einem unverwechselbaren Sound, der auch schon international Aufmerksamkeit erregt hat.
Auch kulturell engagiert sich der Münchner kräftig - zum Beispiel als Mitbegründer des Sound Salon, einer DJ- und Producer-Community, die aufstrebenden Künstler*innen eine Plattform zum Lernen, zum Austausch und für erste Performances bietet.
Sein "Melodic Tribal Techno" hört man langsam aber sicher auf immer mehr Club- und Festival-Bühnen Deutschlands und darüber hinaus, und das ist erst der Anfang dieser vielversprechenden Geschichte. Unbedingt reinhören!

After going through a difficult chapter in my life this summer, a time when creating music simply wasn’t possible for me, I’m now even more excited and deeply thankful to finally share a new DJ set with you. 
Once again, I wanted to create an atmosphere that invites you to dance, to feel, or simply to listen - a space that allows emotions to be processed, moments to slow down, and yet still carries a steady drive and energy from beginning to end.
