A wonderful composition that captures the vision of different moments in life. A sentimental melody that conveys nostalgia for the great events that have marked our lives. And here the instruments are perfectly represented. A composition to be listened to many times. Wonderful production!

The Rendezvous

Pakicetus

Verse 1 (4/4):
400 million years ago fish left the water to live on land
15 million years ago mammals found there way back into the oceans 

Verse 2:
Pakicetus is a Transitional phase between land mammals and whales
This is a small whale to be about the size of a wolf

Verse 3 (7/4 time):
With hooks and claws
A beginning of land animals returning to the water

Verse 4 (4/4):
Packicetus gave rise to sea mammals: Propoises and whales
All have multiple stomachs
Coming from the structure of their land mammal days
The evidence is that they have the same unique ear bone

Bridge: (5/4)
Whales and hippos descended from the same ancestor

Verse 5:
DNA comparisons reveal that whales have many genes that are inactive
These genes were functional on land
But they have no use in the water

The oldest fossil whale ever found
Teeth like a carnivorous mammals 
A carnivore that adapted to land

method: many instruments, many modulations and distortions, all over the place and insisting on intensity
narration: this is not supposed to be a 'beautiful' track:  although much dismayed, you sometimes need lofi skillsets, esp when the skin has worn thin; of course LOFI is also an anagram of FOIL  - those two go together (although this voice is single and as detached as distorted by proximity, it responds to extremely varied circumstance)

Deaf to the Drums

I am retired and have taken up music again (after 60 years since I last played the classical piano)for my pleasure. It is great to redo the old classics with the modern sounds and electronic instruments of today. I  
   Also Like making my own instrumental tracks with my 
Presonus studio 4 software, a size midi keyboard and the Kross workstation Keyboard.
I am so grateful for the support, encouragement and feedback from the  sound cloud community.
