Recorded in one go in one day during our tour in the south of France, march 202. Also out on cassette. Xavier Charles is an amazing clarinette player from France working mostly in the international improvised music scene. The combination with the open minimal guitar play of Zea works like a treat.

Electro beat, moog bass, philicorda organ, sweet growling guitar and lyrics referring to the problem Frisian people (Arnold is from Fryslan, the North Central part of the Netherlands with its own language and culture) have with eating spicy food; it's all there.

Summing

They Often Believe

Zea is Arnold de Boer, based in Amsterdam. His music is minimal, poetic, full-on, heartfelt, acoustic, eclectic, strange-edge. Songs are both in English and in Frisian (his first language). Zea has been touring the world since 2001 playing more than 40 countries on 6 continents. Arnold is also part of Dutch underground band The Ex (since 2009).
