OW10 Floid & W92 - Dookuzot

How can the unfamiliar feel so close? Dookuzot, the debut EP by Floid and W92 (aka Woody92), invites listeners to venture into the echo chambers of the psyche on their Omen Wapta imprint. Like a salvaged coat of arms, this 8-track release weaves the cryptic motifs of the blood brothers into its sonic fabric, blending unease with ease through stealthy rhythms and dissonant harmonies. One a sonic visionary, the other a sound artist—together, they transform decades of shared family history into an imaginary realm of the mind.

Pensive yet commanding, Dookuzot unfolds like a labyrinth, where shadowy corridors give rise to textures, shapes, and fragments of memories that never existed. Are you the hunter, or are you being hunted? Neither tempo nor zeitgeist grounds the EP; instead, it conjures a citadel of sound—an intricate fortification of motion and stillness. Like a medieval quest, Dookuzot sends you into the wilderness, armed with arcane energy, urging you to explore the blurred lines between the familiar and the strange. Yet, as one absorbs the full story, a central motif emerges among the obscure artefacts: brotherhood—evoking a shared yet deeply personal ancestral resonance.

Cryptic, unnerving, and undeniably strange, Dookuzot doesn’t ask you to move—it compels you. With this debut, Floid and W92 draw you into their world, setting the stage for a vision that is both enthralling and forward-thinking.

Hans Hammer is one of those artists who doesn’t need to make grand statements. His music speaks for itself. Reduced, focused, and full of atmosphere. Within the club scene, he navigates with impressive clarity between house, minimal, and subtle electro influences. He’s not chasing spectacular drops or fleeting trends, but rather something that endures: a carefully crafted groove that settles into both body and mind. As a DJ, he’s precise but never sterile. His sets unfold organically, take their time, and create space for details that others might overlook. 

His label, Bladehouse, which he co-founded, is a reflection of this philosophy. Established with the goal of releasing music beyond fast-paced market cycles, Bladehouse has become much more than a platform for tracks. It’s a community, a curated collective devoted to the art of restraint. Each release – including the most recent one, BHO005, which emerged from a collaborative retreat – stands for hand-picked quality. The artists aren’t chasing a uniform sound, but rather a shared idea: house music that is stripped back but not hollow; structured but never predictable. Bladehouse isn’t a fleeting scene project, it’s a long-term movement, driven by people who feel music before they categorize it. And Hans Hammer is its steady core, an artist who doesn’t need to turn everything up to be heard. Those who dive into his sets or the label’s output quickly realize: this is music with substance.

If there was ever a timeless form of music, one could argue it is dub techno. From his drifting, weightless chords to the sheets of melancholic atmosphere he crafts, Fingers in the Noise has proven himself to be a true purveyor of this sound. As profound as any basic channel record, his albums create an expansive space within which the listener can truly exist. Since 2009 he has been churning out the highest quality dub techno and ambient music on his own Fitn Personal Records imprint as well as many others, so it was only natural that we ask him to cook up something special for UNRUSH.
