This track is an entry to the weekly disquiet Junto project.  This week the task was to add an instrumental part to a duet (piano and viola) making it into a trio. As always with disquiet projects there are just 4 days to get this done.

I have added a trio of sparse prepared e. guitar parts played through cry baby and delay.  They were meant to add up to a  sort of single performance although  I probably left too many overlaps in for this to be true . Lots of scrapes and objects on strings, the rattly drone is  ebow on slack e string. (Right Now, I wish there was less delay and the guitar had a dryer sound). I kept it pretty live but ducked out a couple of accidental clonks and mixed the volumes up and down like you do. I did play this for the  whole piece but this excerpt is about the right length, more focused. I didn’t move any favourite bits into the excerpt but have  putt up a short coda which has the kirschner track removed. http://soundcloud.com/zedkah/sinking-in-coda-to


The source audio for this track is part three of the Kenneth Kirschner album June 5, 2012, which features Kirschner on piano and Tawnya Popoff on viola. The album was released in September 2012 on the shskh.com netlabel, where it is available for free download. It is sort of serious classical ambient, a bit dry and academic, but mostly good stuff- if you’re into that sort of thing.

Interested in collaborative projects -  The more inappropriate the better.  London based. home built noise toys and circuits, broken tape recorders, hex bugs in biscuit tins. Field recordings of air conditioning outlets.broken cassettes. and maybe the odd bit of class gear.
