This edition of the Innerflight mix series features a true electronic music scene legend, Michael Manahan. The dude has his imprint all over the Pacific Northwest music scene with his involvement in Oracle gatherings, Cascadia Festival, Re-Bar, Hunt And Gather and many many more. Just in case you live under a rock and haven't heard this guy weave his web of mesmerizing music before, you're in luck. This mix was recorded live in support of Matthew Dear in January at the Monkey Loft and is a smooth blend of Amazonian vibes brought to a simmer and served hot. Michael will be celebrating the release of his new EP out on LAIKA Sounds with us at our Drop party at the Monkey Loft Friday March 4th along with another local legend Zacharia and Innerflight's own legend Rhines. It's all gonna be very legendary to say the least. Let us make party.

I was asked to support the label launch party for Restless Planet Records at Timbre Room, and it was a chance to dive into a more minimalistic sound that I had not yet explored. I love having the opportunity to try out new genres, while also being given the space to stay true to myself, and as always, keep it weird. I hope you enjoy listening to this genre-hopping journey.

Found $2.49 in the couch.  Bought a slurpee and shared with the plants.  They love sugar and beats.

Tremulant wandering throughout deep space. Scans pulse beating lush sounds from local pulsar. Beaming down to check it out. Mega waves of radio interference. Scanning. Something making some serious groove here. We have detected... PLANEMO!
Every month we'll hop aboard our spaceship and search the galaxy to discover fresh and exciting sounds for the people of earth. While on an exploratory deep space mission inside the psychedelia nebula our crew picked up a strange signal.  It was a frequency of love and hope.  As we honed in on the origin of the frequency our crew started hugging and cuddling each other,  dancing and smiling like never before.  As we neared this enigmatic signal our radar showed us the most wondrous signature.   A massive cluster of energy shaped like a Sea otter!  No, a Spaceotter!  As we got closer the signal became clearer and more beautiful.  Just as we came near enough to see this cluster of energy, it disappeared.   The signal lost.  Suddenly on the bridge of star ship Tremulant a ball of stardust coalesced in front of our crew and with a bright flash the Spaceotter appeared!  He was clothed in the most fantastical outfit of sequins, disco balls and fabulous high heels.  Its fur was iridescent and glowing with colors we couldn't have imagined had it not been in front of us.  "I come here to give you a gift my Tremulant friends" spoke the Spaceotter.   "Yes I know who you are, I am omnipresent and omnipotent.  Everything and nothing at the same time.  Simply, I am an abundance of love energy meandering through the universe healing those in need.  But I grow bored of this at times and seek out those who can spread my message of kindness and support.  I've chosen you my Tremulant friends to do this for me.  Take my gift to you, this music and share it with those in need throughout your travels".  With a bright flash this cosmic deity disappeared, and left in its wake a data disk containing the most wondrous and mind bending sounds.  Our crew was floored, all we could do was cry, cuddle some more and play with kittens.  This message is for all of us, from the cosmic deity the Spaceotter.
