San Soda, also known as Nicolas Geysens, is known in underground music circles as a real record collector. This shows in his predictably unpredictable DJ sets, which are made up of carefully chosen gems after years of crate digging around the world. 

In this mix, Nicolas gets us through 80 minutes of cheerful sounds mixed with disco, enchanting influences and classic house. His selection and mixing skills are definitely a sense of cohesion.

Man of the hour X-Coast kicks off our ZeeZout advent calendar with his set from ZeeZout Festival 23. Continuing our advent series, we're delighted to showcase the dynamic duo of Skatebård and our very own David Vunk—brothers in arms who require little introduction. What we would like to emphasize once more however, is that we will never get enough of Mr. Bård’s infectious smile and the Vunkinator’s precision in delivering rhythmic movements. Balancing between gritty electro loops and euphoric synths while not holding back on the light-hearted disco and italo vibes, this set might be exactly what ZeeZout Festival was all about if you’d ask us. About time it came online, Nèna is finally taking us down into her wormhole of fast-paced hypnotizing beats. As a DJ on the forefront of Sydney’s underground scene she has made quite a name for herself; throwing parties with the Rimbombo crew, working in record stores, and presenting her Saturday Sunset show on FBi community radio for over half a decade, all the while enticing dancefloors with her unassuming style. For this mix she flexes zesty cuts with plenty of uplifting energy. This power duo are the masterminds behind several creative outlets; from soundcloud.com/sound-metaphors - the renowned record shop, label, and its sub-labels (THANKYOU, MISSYOU, BLESSYOU) - to the infamous H.A.N.D. (Have A Nice Day) parties in Berlin. Their undying love for music and passion for digging up rhythmic masterpieces lost in time has manifested itself in their Kreuzberg record shop, which has become known for its exquisite selection of hand-picked releases. Their unique unfiltered style has earned them regular slots playing for esteemed steaming dancefloors like Cocktail D’Amore and Panorama Bar.

This 70-minute mix is jam-packed with fun fast-paced percussive selections, self-made edits, Hi-NRG guilty pleasures from Canada to China, and upbeat synthesizers. Dig in!

As a DJ, producer, remixer, sound engineer, and musician Justin Van Der Volgen has both feet firmly planted in the New York music scene. He runs the My Rules imprint and has released on a wide array of labels including Golf Channel (@olfhannelecordings), @ESP-Institute, @Warp-records, @RunningBack - the list goes on. Justin was fortunate enough to dance at iconic NYC parties like Body & Soul, Shelter, and Soul Summit which helped shape and influence his taste. In this mix he takes it back to the Golden Age of New York House by drawing on said influences and taking inspiration from the legendary NYC Kiss FM and WBLS radio master mixes by the likes of Bobby Konders, Tony Humphries and John Robinson. He’s loaded it up with some of his favourite Deep House records, a handful of personal edits, and several emblematic tracks of the time. Vibrant yet wistful club music that is meant to resonate with you and excite you, with or without being in a club.

A trip down memory lane with Jessy

The Hague based Jessy explores the lines between energetic electro, heavy breaks, screamy vocals, dreamy strings and combines it all with the influences of house and trance.

Even tough he was legally not allowed into the PIP just yet, he made his way to the dance floor by climbing the fences and got a taste of the city’s night life at a young age. Jessy joined the PIP crew not much later. He’s now throwing skate contest events with the MalieMadnezz crew, seen at ZeeZout Festival 2019 and ZeeZout at the Beach, and last but definitely not least, he’s the DJ of the coolest boyband of all time: Goldband! 

This is one to keep your eye on. Check it out and dream away into the past.
