In the beauty and strangeness of the dusk, come the sounds of the playa. The cacophony of countless pulsing vibrations that fill the whiteout. This set represents a moment of stillness within that wild. We begin in a high paced trance that slows to a methodically curated 20 minutes of honoring the moment the sun touches the mountains and finally disappears behind the backdrop of the most beautiful place on earth... our home. In this moment, we regroup and prepare for the tempo to increase and the party to begin once more. This is the sound of just one sunset at Agave Lounge.

This is the opening set for Believe In Reno W/ Nora En Pure, Croatia Squad, Mitch Dodge & Sonus

This was such a unique moment.  

I had two ways I could play this. I had a 30 minute set scheduled with the possibility to have a full hour. This was done to ensure that lighting and sound were in place and allowed for any troubleshooting. 

As it turned out, we were ready at 4pm, so I was blessed with a full hour to play. The first half of the set is a warm up set to get the crowd happy and comfy. I played some iconic tracks from my childhood adolescence that all of you know. 

I then moved into a solid deep/ progressive house second half. I then closed with one of my favorite songs by The Naked and Famous.

This is a reflection and projection of where I am as a DJ. Doing 20 months of The Deep Down pigeon-holed me into being perceived as a progressive house DJ only. I purposely played five different genres seamlessly to prove a point. 

We are here to dance and listen to what makes us happy. Nothing more.

Zehbra is one of the founders of The Bureau of Hindsight, a Burning Man sound camp located at 9:45 and i. For the last 5 years, Zehbra, Christian Goodell and The Bureau of Hindsight have been curating house music monthlies that have shaped the Reno/Tahoe house music scene. The Brickelltown Getdown in Tahoe, The Midtown Getdown in reno, and most notably, the twenty month long run known as The Deep Down at The Dead Ringer in Reno are iconic event runs that have and continue to carve a groove like no other. The Residents of the Bureau of Hindsight are comprised of some of the best talent currently existing in the house music scene today.

Zehbra is also one half of the electro/breaks duo, Murbank and Wankershim.
