"Drawnonward is all about drama. With each track, I tried to weave emotions and story lines into a cinematic rollercoaster ride. I'm like a drama sponge. All the craziness I see on TV, Film, or even CNN, gets used as inspiration for a new song. So you get a lot of everything with this album; Soaring female vocals, sweeping string melodies, powerful synths, slamming drums, and pounding bass."

One of the moodiest tracks I've done in a while. I've been on the cyberpunk tip for a while now (and as I keep alluding to, this will become even more clear soon) and if you wanted to know what my vision of a Blade Runner 2049 score would be, then this is a pretty good indicator.

The new album is a reference to the photography technique that creates  a degraded appearance in photo prints by physically altering film, a close metaphor for the way the album was created; manipulation of source audio and sound design creating a very different result.

8Dio The New Hybrid Rhythms: "Elevation" by Vivien Chebbah

Vinland is the third and last album in Northumbria’s trilogy inspired by the Norse discovery of Canada. 

The journey was long and hard, you lost good men sailing across the never ending sea, but now you stand on foreign land. The father of gods watches over you as his ravens circle the funeral pyre to bring his warriors home. 

The rocks here emanate a low hum, the silent wind carries the scent of honey and at nightly camp bestial cries echo between the mountains. Your men speak in hushed voices as the dark creeps close, they mutter about this being the territory of new gods. This dreamy land is getting to your people, some men wake screaming in the blackest hour from visions delivered by the dark below. But for you this expedition is one of enlightenment, the fresh rivers fill your mouth with the light of Yggdrasil, forests carry whispers from the mead halls beyond and as such have you convinced that this is the pathway between the worlds of gods and men. 

Using guitar and bass, and recording their improvised compositions live, Jim Field and Dorian Williamson create a deep textured sound world. Evoking the ancient wonder that the Norse explorers must have felt discovering Vinland, the Windswept Land.

Finally I present you the 5th year anniversary compilation. After months I am glad to release this amazing album. Celebrating 

I never thought that this podcast I started in 2013 would't reach it's fifth year. Starting from scratch to more then 200 chapters of the most amazing music outthere. Mostly dubtechno, ambient with the Ambient Sessions, hypnotic techno and everything in between has crossed these 5 years. releasing 27 EP's and 5 compilations. Even the Special releases are Highly recommended. After this release @discophone will makes his debute on Deep Electronics with his album Utu. Also Ataxy is scheduled with a very strong and deep ambient EP. 

50% of the price from the upcoming compilation will go to charity. The local Animal Ambulance here in my hometown Den Helder. They help injured animals no matter what kind. From dogs, cats, birds even seals and in rare cases porpoises. They help animals 24/7 and they are completely dependent on volunteers, donations and gifts. With this compilation I would like to help them in there work in rescue wounded and sick animals and there help in providing support to there owners.
