Hi there, and welcome to our latest pre-release, 'Always Behind You' by Euphoriqa.

This track was written for our 'Sing for Clatterbridge' charity album 'Love & Hope Forever', which will be released early next month ready for our fundraising campaign on the run up to Christmas.

We are very excited about this album release as it will help us raise funds for Clatterbridge NHS Cancer hospital. We are thrilled to also announce that we have been joined by 4 other fantastic artists who have supported this cause with wonderful songs and music.

This project started 3 years ago, with the release of our 1st charity single release, 'I Still Believe', which is our Legacy to Clatterbridge NHS Cancer Trust. We had planned to release this single for charity every year with the hope it would become a popular song. We never would have thought 3 years ago that we'd have an Album to release! 

Whilst working on this album, we were very humbled by the thought that other people have been inspired by our project and have not only offered their support, time, creativity, but above all their compassion.  Through our music, we have each shared feelings and experiences with each other, which connect to our share goal, to help others. It is strange really as none of us have ever actually meet outside of this project and the things we've shared would not necessarily be the type of things you'd discuss with a stranger.  

So this connection, has really given us great faith in the fact that we all posses the strength and power to do good things, if we can just find a way to express it freely. We are also very happy to say that our project has given us an opportunity to connect amazing people from all over the world.

We have found this experience almost beyond words, and cannot thank Deborah Henriksson, Rebekah Vesey, Ged Hodkinson & Andreas Hoffmann enough for their contribution. 

So our song, 'Always Behind You' was inspired by working with our new friends and is a song about being there for one another, no matter what; and about the importance of letting others know we are there for them also. If everyone could find the time to reach out and help just one person each day, then  the World would be a better place to be. Unfortunately the World doesn't work like that, so in the absence of everyone doing this, the job is left to the rest of us to pick up the slack. 

Which on reflection is not such a bad thing to take on as a personal challenge.

Euphoriqa - Always Behind You - Matt Baker & John Styles - Pre-release

Ah Mick Wills, Mick The Machine, Mick the Teutonic Grail Knight, who in the pale shadows of Hölderlin and Von Schelling embodies the dark Romanticist Wanderlust, the inescapable forces of nature that wash away your sins only to replace them with an impending emptiness amidst the fleeting forest spirits and dervishes that inhabit the German Hinterland. Over the years we've seen Mick perfect his craft, seen him play to the point where he thought he had a heart attack and seen him race his chip tuned Audi all over ze European Autobahn to spread his obscurantist but pressing oddities to crowds of perplexed but easily submitted youngsters. As per usual, Mick doesn't just spin records, but like that *select* few, Mick describes his sets as "SESSIONS". Here is one such session, played under a dark room cage next to a Berlin train station that used to be one of the last stops en route to Hell. Ladies and gentlemen; Mick Wills.

Creme Podcast #25 - Mick Wills @Humboldthain - Berlin - 24.10.2014

For podcast number seven we turn to the exceptionally talented German DJ that is Mick Wills. Rather than searching for the spotlight, Mick is DJ who cares only about the people dancing in front of him. He isn’t in this game to become a famous superstar headliner, he just wants to play records without a care in the world. And that is exactly what he does at knowing clubs around Europe. As a producer he has a small but perfectly formed discography with releases on International Deejay Gigolo Records, but it are his DJ skills that we focus on here.
 
His two hour mix was recorded live at a Knekelhuis event at Amsterdam’s Studio 80 and starts off with some supple techno and intergalactic atmospheres before churning up his grooves with rough textures, kinked electro beats and tripped out acid jack. Getting deeper in the second half, the mix seamlessly transitions through many scenes and styles, taking listeners up, down and round and round in the process. Strap yourself in, then, and enjoy the ride.
