bytecas is an experimental music act by sound designer Rui Peixoto who was born and raised in Coimbra, Portugal and is currently located in Cambridge, USA

Rui has been exploring all sorts of synthesizers and electronic instruments for more than 10 years and is currently combining dissonant experimental sounds with more traditional elements

His main instrument is an eurorack modular synth and he uses DIY'ed cables of specific lengths to minimize his OCD towards cable clutter

Babel is the result of jam sessions exploring the combination of razor sharp FM timbres from a cylonix cyclebox oscillator with warm chords from a Fender Rhodes mkI piano

All tracks are recordings of live performances

These modules are almost perfect replicas of the famous Moog modules.
