This was written in light of the general public's reaction to the death of a girl who went to my school.

Queen Of The Elves

Lyrics:

Anxiety sets in again;
a blanket of snow…
Oh how beautiful it is to be quietly sad.
All the flakes have fallen and they dampen the external sounds
so I can hear my blood rush,
finally,
rather than the wind.
Alas, the cold covering of white
grows wearily on my skin and eyes.
Alas, the grayscale sight
lacks even blurry juxtaposition in attempts to hide.
My hands crack and shatter
as I pound them on
the cracked and shattered frosted panes,
and the pain solidifies,
blue in my veins,
causing my knees to gravitate towards my chest.
My head throbs, singing a lullaby:
“It’s too long to wait.
It’s not worth it
to stay awake.”
