MR. DIRTY HAIRY - Zeleno sonce mix 2012

english: Mr. Dirty Hairy will be guest on Zeleno sonce's 65th party (4th January 2013@Gala hala, AKC Metelkova, Ljubljana, Slovenija). He prepared a short mix for us and add some words about the mix.

Mr Dirty Hairy edit: When I started playing funk around 1998/99 these tracks were part of my set list. I started DJ'ing as an extension of  being a producer / musician /collector / digger or whatever and enjoyed finding a lot of the samples that were used in hip hop. 

Everytime I would play in these little student bars and intimate venues It was sort of  me revealing my finds to my crowd (to show em I'm out there in the trenches diggin!!).
I never really recorded a mix with these tracks since I often try to go a little obscurer these days. However having played 5 times at Ljubljana's Zeleno Sonce night and using my time there to test drive new digs blended with well known funk jams,  I  was happy to throw together this little (requested) mix for the Ljubljana massive. It takes me back to just starting out and well. This was a very easy to throw together. I hope that you enjoy it. This was the best of 3 takes .

MR. DIRTY HAIRY - ZELENO SONCE MIX 2012

Dolga leta nazaj je v Ljubljani funk popolnoma poniknil, zato sta Dj Udo Brenner in Jizah DaFunk s somišljeniki ugotovila, da bi bilo potrebno tovrstno godbo predstavljati periodično. Zadnjih 8 let tako ustvarjata oddajo Zeleno sonce, ki jo lahko vsako soboto med 15.00 in 16.00 poslušate na frekvencah Radia Študent (www.radiostudent.si), kmalu pa je nastala praznina kulminirala v idejo, da se Zeleno sonce preseli tudi v klubsko različico, kjer je zadnjih 6 sezon stalnica dogajanja v Gali hali na Metelkovi, kjer se vsak prvi petek v mesecu dogajajo zelenosončni partiji z mnogimi eminentnimi evropskimi Dj gosti.

Na kratko: 
vsak prvi petek v mesecu je žur v Gali hali na Metelkovi
vsako soboto ob 15.00 je oddaja na Radiu Študent.
