This is the hardcore techno B-side to the very first record on my new label Somniverse. Deer in the Headlights will be out on August 26th on red 10" vinyl and digitally.

After 7 solo EPs for independent hardcore labels like Meta4, Love Hz and PRSPCT Recordings, and more recent techno releases for RAW, Ghostly International and Possession, Somniac One is seizing the deer by its antlers to launch her own label: Somniverse!

As a firmly established name in industrial hardcore and fast-rising star in techno, Somniac One is perfectly positioned to color between the lines of both genres. A desire to go beyond boundaries to claim ownership of Somniac One's vast stylistic range – and to make you dance – is at the heart of Somniverse. Expect effective hardcore bangers, techno bangers, cross-over bangers. Bangers, pretty much, and the occasional tame B-side.

Deer in the Headlights is the first release on Somniverse and features two Somniac One productions that directly relate to the kind of sets she is playing to hardcore and techno audiences – always with the idea to draw fans from one scene into the other. Arp Track #1 is a classic piece of slowly unfolding, muscular and subtly euphoric techno, while MNDKNTRL on the flipside harkens back to some of the best moments in dark millennium hardcore.

Zélie is a industrial techno hybrid hardcore DJ and producer. Her slow and aggressive kicks as well as the intensity of her universe create the perfect tension between brutal and poetic music. She had the pleasure of sharing the sets with many artists such as Angerfist, Sefa, Manu le Malin..., on major events : Born to Rave, Ethereal Decibel Festival, Ipnotik Disorder, Nordik Impakt, We Are Rave, Hardcore France…
She now co-chairs the VNION Federation and belongs to several collectives in northwestern France such as Black Moon and Esprits Sauvages with which she produces events all the year and is committed to the subjects of inclusivity, risks reduction and for the development of the electronic music scene. She co-created the international label Dystomnia and undertook the production of a series of hard industrial music events between France, Netherlands, Germany and Hungary.
