The collaboration between Quixotic and The Human Experience expands beyond the sonic experience and into the mixed media world. Quixotic blends world class music with performance art, using cutting edge visual projections with aerial, dance, and fire ballet to convey mysterious and beautiful worlds. On this release, Quixotic's own live band collaborated with David Block's cinematic compositions to create a synesthetic explosion on the senses.

Over the course of two years, Block worked with Shane Borth (Violin/Viola) and Anthony Magliano (Hang Drum/Percussion), sending files back and forth, receiving direction from Borth and Magliano as to what kind of musical landscapes they were envisioning for the performance.  Finally, "From The Outside Looking In" was born.

The album weaves together sounds from around the world.  Listeners can expect a palette of sensual, global, organic-electronica, fit for one of the most mesmerizing performances on earth.

ABOUT "QUIXOTIC" - CREATIVE VISION:
 
Art that enchants, invigorates, and awakens the imagination has always been born of the rule breakers, and no one is breaking the rules more joyously, more fervently, than Kansas City’s own Quixotic. A melting pot of dance, aerial acrobatics, projection mapping, high fashion, and original live music, Quixotic is a cornucopia of mystical majesty that enraptures audiences who have never even dreamed a night at the theater could be so much fun. Sleek dancers pushing the boundaries of athletic artistry soar across neon skies that encompass and envelop traditional and non-traditional venues, bathing structures and painting new nature on old, in a vivid fantasy world. Evocative tribal electronica sets the stage for the visual panoply of color and agility in flight. Even the aural accompaniment blurs the lines between stylistic worlds, blending organic instrumentations of lush strings and primal drums with digital symphonies of programmed beats and bellowing subsonic frequencies.

Founded in 2005 by renowned graphic designer, percussionist, and artistic director Anthony Magliano, and joined a year later by award-winning lighting and theater technology guru Mica Thomas, Quixotic’s mission statement was to tear down the walls that cloistered each discipline of the arts, unleashing a flood of new ideas that would wash away the staid norms of traditional theatre performance. It is the joint vision of Magliano and Thomas that has taken the loose collective of avant garde trendsetters and molded them into what the New York Times branded an “innovative circus [company].” This ultra-modern, multi-sensory experience shatters antiquated notions of “a night at the ballet.”

The stunning and surreal environments that set the scene for this experimental movement troupe has aligned its performers with the most progressive acts in the electronic music scene (Dave Tipper and Shpongle, among others), but its undeniable grace, transcendent athleticism, and dogmatic dedication to haute couture also allows Quixotic to flawlessly complement the Kansas City Symphony.

The raw power, immersive experience, and sheer mesmerizing artistry of Quixotic Fusion cannot be conveyed through words, nor can audio or video alone capture the magic of an intense, firsthand glimpse of the collective in action. It is thought that 13.8 billion years ago the Universe underwent a period of rapid “inflation” in the very first moments of its existence. A big bang, a 3 dimensional ripple set forth in time creating everything we see around us, and everything that is yet to come. 

As we look to the stars today, we see ancient ripples of light that have travelled for light years to meet our eyes, from orbs of gases that may well be extinguished. Cast your vision in... 

Every element of every breath that was ever taken on earth is still in circulation right now in some combination or another. From the dinosaur that passed wind, to Albert Hoffmans heavy panting whilst riding his bike, you, and I are constantly respiring throughout our whole bodies and back out to into the body of the world and everything in it. A constant ripple inward and out that will continue for eternity. 

In a blink of geological time, 900 years, Ancient sunlight in the form of coal was found in Europe and asia and busily extracted and burnt adding to the intensity of agricultural practices that have allowed our obese populations to balloon epically out of synch with nature. 

The abundance of human food supply was, until the past few hundred years, largely determined by how much sunlight hit the ground. This is shown by our equators that are naturally teeming with life and how our poles are relatively devoid of natural life. 

Every life form on the surface of this planet is here because a plant was able to gather sunlight and store it, and something else was able to eat that plant and take that sunlight-energy in to power its body. 

We are therefore, all ultimately made out of sunlight. And maybe you don’t know you're a star, but you should. 

Welcome to the 10th release from Bumble. This album stretches the musical expanses, to deliver a positive 10 songs, heavy with organic instrumentation and lathered with sub and squelchy frequencies. This balance of tracks delves through the deeper downbeat realms of the concept whilst also providing up beat and bright funk inspired dance floor treats. 
All compositions, instrumentation, percussion, vocals and stories have been written and played/sung by Max Von Bumble apart from the additional contributions by Matthew Ashbolt on bass guitar (Track 4, 10) and additional percussion contributions by Borja Valls (Track 2,3,6,7,8).

It is important for us to remain connected to deeper states of being, especially during turbulent times such as these.

When we access flow states, we experience a unique blend of enhanced productivity and peak performance coupled with a deeper sense of relaxation and a noticeably expanded field of conscious awareness.

This is that sweet spot in which all of life is a dance, where work is not something we do, but rather something that is done through us.

I attain these states through making music, writing, love making, cooking, dancing, yoga, and contact with the natural world.

I've also noticed that I'm particularly prone to this state while in the process of brewing and enjoying tea. I find something about the entire process deeply therapeutic.

This song is a reminder that when life is too much to hold, we can always take ourselves a brief moment of repose, and lay the weight down long enough to enjoy a nice calming cup of tea.
