Offbeat - MFTH

Pierre Reverdy est un des grands poètes français du XXème siècle, pourtant déjà injustement oublié. Tiré de son recueil "Sources du Vent", voici un de ses poèmes , ici mis en chant et en musique  ( la photo est celle de Pierre Reverdy, chez lui, dans les années 1960)
PAROLES
Un mouvement de bras
 Comme un battement d'ailes
Le vent qui se déploie
 Et la voix qui appelle
Dans le silence épais
Qu'aucun souffle ne ride
Les larmes du matin
 Et les doigts de la rive
L'eau qui coule au dehors
L'ornière suit le pas
Le soleil se déroule
Et le ciel ne tient pas
L'arbre du carrefour
 se penche et interroge
la voiture qui roule
Enfonce l'horizon
Tous les murs en retour
 Sèchent contre le vent
Et le chemin perdu
Se cache sous le pont.
Quand la forêt remue
 Et que la nuit s'envole
Entre les branches mortes
 Où le fumée s'endort
L'oeil fermé au couchant
La dernière étincelle
Sur le fil bleu de ciel
Le cri d'une hirondelle.

The wind that unfolds
 And the voice that calls
In the thick silence
Let no breath ripple
Morning tears
 And the fingers of the shore
The water that flows outside
The rut follows suit
The sun is unfurling
And the sky doesn't hold
The tree of the crossroads
 bends over and questions
The car that drives

All the walls in return

And the lost path
Hiding under the bridge.
When the forest stirs
 And let the night fly away
Between the dead branches
 Where the smoke falls asleep
The eye closed at sunset
The last spark
