I'm happy to finally release my first debut EP.

I wrote it 3 years ago, in spring 2020. I was inspired by my hometown — Pavlovsk, Russia, where I spent my lockdown during the Covid pandemic. I was trying to create something simple, but beautiful, cause my main goal in art is ti bring in the world as much beauty as I can.

So, now is 2023, I left my homeland and my life completely changed, so this release warms me ap with good memories from the other life and puts an end to my desperate times in art, because I became more free and I'm going to create a lot of stuff in the near future.

Choir

I was priviliged to be able to be part of the beta test team for Libre Wave’s Lyrical Bansuri library. And I am honoured one of my demo’s is featured as an official demo on their website.

For this piece I have exclusively used the legato patch, with a touch of Eventide Quadravox applied, so basically every note sounds like a power chord. Of course the inspiration for this was the Fourth World musical paradigm of Jon Hassell.

- all other instruments: Simon Stockhausen presets taken from his Falcon Singles Bundle

The reverb on Lyrical Bansuri is Liquidsonics Seventh Heaven (I tried many reverbs but kept coming back to 7H - a match made in heaven apparently)

Janice Doppler spent her writing energy on grant proposals and curriculum development during her career as a teacher and school administrator. Retiring enabled her to develop her creative self—carving realistic birds from wood and nature journaling.

Her heart was captured by haiku during a senior-center workshop that she attended on a whim. Her haiku and haibun have been widely published.
