Best known for his work as guitar player, singer, and principal songwriter for seminal and long running psych/stoner band Dead Meadow, Jason Simon has also been steadily releasing music under his given name as well as through various monikers and collaborative outings, a true visionary and cornerstone of psychedelic music in Los Angeles and beyond.

Mumbled echoes from the mist, through the tunnels of revival. The graininess interplay with a subdued mellifluence. A haze of longing sighs and reverberations - threshold between the lane, where distant voices yield to light.   

Night Foundation, the electronic solo project of visual/sound artist Richard Vergez and the founder of the label - Noir Age, explores existential soundscapes, utilizing analogue hardware including vintage synthesizers, found percussion, tape effects, and manipulated wind instruments. 'Change Your Mind' holds the resilience and heralds the breath of new horizon.

"Arastoo Darakhshan is one of these musicians fusing classical elements with boundary pushing electronics under the aliases Ixuol and Arastoo. We might recognize some freejazz influences, coupled with energetic breakbeats, overlayed with traditional instruments. Having released Abstraction In High Fidelity on the Zabte Sote label, spearheaded by Ata ‘Sote’ Ebtekar, it is clearly a sign of new times breaking for this specific scene, making connections from their home country to lands overseas in a more intense, or bold, gesture. In this Exchange, we speak to Darakhshan about becoming and expressing in another country, the importance of making reference to classical styles, conveying deep emotion in ‘synthetic sounding’ music, and the meaning of working together with other Iranian composers."
