MAROONED is a music project (DJ/Live) coming from Georgia. From the beginning, The love of listening to music naturally progressed into producing it. The project has made a creative musical pathway that ties a bridge between Experimental and Industrial techno with crafty soundscapes, often divine voices, focusing entirely on beat-driven work. With live performances featuring Saturnia, Marooned strives to reflect the echoes of the harmonic world within our souls.

MAROONED represents 'Borders of known'(Tbilisi)  as a resident artist and is a family member of 'Khoros'(UK) label with his collaborative project - Marooned Solar Siblings.
Marooneds notable releases are for 'Voidance Berlin', Brutal Forms, SHISHI Rec(Tbilisi) and Vumantra(Berlin).

This Track is directly inspired by my last trek. I wanted to find again the feeling of beeing alone surrounded by the sound of nature. So i recorded water and birds sound during it and made the track the 3 days after coming back home

Carefully designed both for the dancefloor and for deep listening,this debut highlights Vardae's unique approach to texture and groove, marking an essential addition to the label's catalogue.

Berlin’s Hyphen collective has wasted no time carving out its place in the techno underground. Less than a year in and already on their fifth release, the label continues to thrive on collaboration and open-ended experimentation rather than fixed formulas. Before the Shift EP brings together Hyphen’s own vauna with two fast-rising Italian artists: TOMO, co-founder of Florence’s DE RIO, and Milan-based Peppe Amore (NR, Planet Rhythm). This is a five-track release that embraces intensity without tipping into excess, channeling a strain of contemporary techno that feels both relentless and precise, designed to hit hard while still leaving room for nuance.

"Return to Form" builds on a foundation of massive kicks and tribal percussion that slowly liquefy into something more fluid, threaded with spiraling synth lines and ghostly vocal fragments. The result feels both primal and precise. It's like a transmission from a futuristic jungle made for sweat-drenched hours in the middle of the night, and another reminder that Hyphen knows how to keep its trajectory sharp. 

Before the Shift is out on September 26th.

Join us this week for a podcast by Dmitri Mazurov. Dmitri Mazurov is a Russian contemporary musician and takes us along with his influences in academic and underground music in the edition of this week. He’s inspired by the mutual influence between classical art, contemporary art and mass culture, which we can hear clearly. He writes compositions for soundtracks as well as modern classical pieces. For this edition Dmitri incorporates elements of minimalist  experimental electronic music and contemporary classical music to deliver a refreshing experience, all while making him stand at the front-lines of avant-garde music.
