Wenn ich mich einmal kurz vorstellen dürfte: TIEFTON mein Name. Vorne Tief, hinten Ton. Wenn man es genau nimmt, bin ich ein Wir. Und wir lauschen unwahrscheinlich gerne elektronischer Musik. Eigentlich spielen wir sie sogar noch viel lieber selber. Für Menschen, die auch gerne elektronische Musik hören. Dazu kann man vor allem sehr gut tanzen. Das muss man aber nicht, wenn man es nicht möchte. Man kann nämlich auch nur hin hören. Und wenn man mag auch noch zugucken. Aber meistens tanzen die Menschen und gucken nicht. Weil sie beim genießen häufig ihre Augen geschlossen haben.

Seit vielen Jahren spielen Fábio und Skoddi unabhängig von einander an unterschiedlichsten Orte in wiederum diversen Clubs Europas. Wohnen tuen aber beide in Hamburg. Und dort haben sie sich dann schlussendlich auch kennen gerlernt.
Es war die Leidenschaft für eine gewisse Art der elektronischen Musik, die die beiden zusammen geführt hat. Aus Freude an der Sache, taten sich mould und Jean Yves Pastis ab und an zusammen, um gemeinsam ihre Passion zum Ausdruck zu bringen. Als sie im Zuge dessen immer häufiger fest geschlossene Augen und weit aufgerissene Ohren begegneten, beschlossen sie diese Momente des genießens einem Namen zu geben: Tiefton

As always in summer for the festival season, here is a DJ mix from me today. This time from day 4 of the Deichbrand Festival at the North Sea near Cuxhaven. Again I was given the honor to open the beautiful Electric Island stage with a set every day.
The set begins gently and melodically with Kollektiv Turmstraße, PHCK and David August, increasing over Kellerkind, Dennis Cruz and Jiggler energetically up to the stark final with Hatzler and a Monster-Prodigy bootleg by Victor Ruiz. And in between there are two unpublished VARGO tracks to discover ;)

Commoner is a passionate producer and DJ whose inspiration originates in the dust of outdoor music festivals and the sand of Kenyan beaches. Since he began his sonic quest in 2017, he has sought to create and play an uplifting, unique style of mid-tempo, organic, deep tribal dance music.
His production garnered some very early success with multiple releases on Lump Records, Stil vor Talent’s and A Tribe Called Kotori compilation series alongside far more established artists including Oliver Koletzki, Acid Pauli, Be Svendsen, Monolink, Nu, Nicola Cruz, and BLOND:ISH.

Commoner’s reputation as a crowd-unifying tribal DJ has led him to play on some of the world’s most vibrant outdoor festival stages including Oregon Eclipse in the USA, Noisily Festival in the UK, and Kilifi New Year in Kenya. He aims to include at least one sample from each continent in every DJ set so you can expect to be taken on a wandering and evocative journey through faraway lands. Enjoy!
