Three more iconic Parallel 9 dub-techno classics from the Steve Rachmad archives re-issued on the Delsin Sterac series. Originally released in 1996 on Prime, now re-mastered.

Track order is shuffled a bit, as it turned out the full 10 minutes version of Quanah was shortened in 1996. It was through the preparation of this re-issue Steve found out now 25 years later they had shortened the track by four minutes back then for some reason.

Steve Rachmad's richly melodic strain of techno has resulted in a huge body of work he has been growing since the early 90s. His sound is the perfect distillation of machine soul – dubby atmospherics and crisp, danceable dynamics balanced in perfect unison. Amsterdam’s Delsin Records gathers together some of the Dutch techno figurehead’s most important, sought-after works in a new EP series, all remastered from the original DAT tapes from Steve’s archives.

Adding to the weight of this series, the accompanying artwork is being created by Boris Tellegen, aka legendary graffiti artist Delta who first began designing sleeves with Secret Life Of Machines. Since then he created many works for labels including Delsin.

Jeff Mills’ “The Bells” is one of the most iconic tracks in techno history, often called the genre’s anthem. Known for its hypnotic bell melody, driving kick, and euphoric build, it became a staple in DJ sets worldwide. The track was first played live by Mills in 1995 (e.g., at Liquid Room in Tokyo), but it wasn’t officially released until 1997 as part of the Kat Moda EP on his Purpose Maker label. This EP is the original record pressing you’re asking about—no standalone “The Bells” single exists from that era. It has since been repressed multiple times due to massive demand (over 500,000 copies sold across versions).

2529KM Records is a new dub techno label created by two friends and artists – Piotr Bejnar aka N1KT (Warsaw, PL) and Leon Lolishvili aka Boyd Schidt (Tbilisi, GE).

2529 KM stands for the distance between Warsaw and Tbilisi. The idea of the label to release compilations with artists from different countries and nationalities. Through music the label wants to unite different cultures and to create a group of friends all over the world, who support themselves in music and life.

The first release 2529KM 001 is the compilation from Idealist (Switzerland) - producer, DJ and label owner of Idealistmusic, Stojche (Macedonia) - Berlin-based artist who’s primarily inspired of the local electronic scene in Skopje, Boyd Schidt (Georgia) - one of the leading techno artists in Georgia, founder of 2529KM and N1KT (Poland) – new techno alias from the owner of 2529 KM and Otake Records.
