Formerly known as KJ Hines, 28-year-old Zen returns to the music scene as a phoenix rising from the ashes of Austin, Texas. Currently based in Honolulu, Hawaii, Zen is the product of spiritual transformation after taking a hiatus from the industry for three years. He’s been reborn with a new prerogative and outlook on life: maintaining authentic expression to contribute to being part of the solution, not part of the problem.

Zen’s new ambition is to create inspirational feel-good songs with positive messages to motivate audiences to forget about their worries and their despair. He isn't here to sell you a life; he's here to show you how to simplify your life. Drop the burdens that society places on you and be free. Through his music, he challenges the media’s negative reinforcement of “the perfect human being,” which he believes is driven by the indirect encouragement of low self worth and lack of self-love. At the end of the day, Zen radiates good vibes and wants to show audiences that anything can be accomplished when you put your mind to it.

His smooth rap perfectly matched with the melancholic melody. This song was written on a hot summer day in Japan, Zen must have been inspired by the need for Ice Cream!
