Dear Kiezburn, thank you for another wonderful year 🥰🔥 felt good to be back! A little bit of everything that makes a burn fun: silly stupid nonsense, silly weather, silly 90s dance parties at a sunset, and time connecting with friends and my partner. Short and sweet. ⁠

On a musical note: here's my Kiezburn set recording from Saturday night! Huge thanks to Underworld as always for having me... burn night energy is always super special. I even felt enough trust to play some original tracks (one collaboration with @y.bryan.music and another with @elias.dore), then got to end the set as I often like to with a throwback favorite from my high school years: early 00s trance. I felt comfortable enough to let my inner kid out, sing and dance along like a maniac and not play it “cool” (I mean, where’s the fun in that anyway?)⁠

Next up: two shifts stage managing at #buchtdertraumer ⚓️. Very excited to be part of this team helping behind the scenes at one of my favorite festivals. More on that laterrr:)

Join me on an eclectic, vibe-heavy daytime trip into Sunset with some big tunes from this summer. 

Some of these were hard to find and span the best of the lesser-known Afro-House and Melodic throwback edits I’ve uncovered over the last month.  

More Background:

Every year in late July, 200+ friends from around the world converge in a Valley in Vermont for PYNK.

There are two primary venues for music across the four-day weekend: The Creek and the Cabin. 

The Creek is a grassy venue that sits just atop a beautifully shady, rock-strewn brook.  

It's not every day you can play an amazingly well-tuned d&b sound system to dancers frolicking in and out of the water as sunbeams shine through the trees.

I hope you enjoy this set, which was one of my highlights of Summer 2024 so far!

Adelia is a DJ originally from Prague and currently based in Spain. She has her unique vision for techno music. Hypnotic and otherworldly soundscapes with the power to transport listeners beyond the confines of our universe, to other dimensions.

Adelia is known for her precision and selectivity when it comes to choosing tracks for her mixes. She can spend hours searching for the perfect tracks, always striving to deliver a deep, hypnotic techno sound that transports the listener to another galaxy.

During the years Adelia having played in various locations across the Czech Republic, as well as in other European countries such as Slovakia, Hungary, Italy, and of course Barcelona city. Adelia’s innovative approach to techno has earned her a dedicated following, and she has been invited to many podcast series, such as Oslated, Bahn Barcelona, and Radio Ozora, among many others.

Irish producer Jack O’Connor has been performing and producing electronic music for over 8 years under the name Zenna. Currently based in Barcelona he operates from his recently built beachside studio where he creates his unique groove of psychedelic beats. 

With a depth of style traversing psytech, deep tech, progressive house & minimal techno Zenna amalgamates this vast territory with a distinctive signature flair characterized by deep grooves, hypnotic rhythms, driving basslines and the perfect seasoning of psychedelia.

Appearing for the first time at Dublin’s Yamamori-Tengu, Zenna went on to move some of the city's most prolific dance floors with notable perfromances at Pygmalion, Berlin D2, Opium, The Sugar Club and The Bernard Shaw before relocating to Barcelona.

His international touring has brought his music to Ibiza, Berlin, Kenya, Portugal, Barcelona, Sri Lanka and the USA with a homecoming for his debut festival performance in Ireland at Fuinneamh Festival. 

Zenna’s production debut About You & Dawn Moon released with When We Dips TOR imprint. He later appeared on Roth Sounds from Tulums renowned Azulik Creative Collective with a meditative, ambient/organic 2 Track EP 'Oceana' and soon returned to Roth Sounds with a 3 Track EP 'Amarna' the stand out track of this release 'Anubis' reached #36 in the Deep Tech Minimal Beatport charts.
