Kruben is a an electronic music artist with roots in the UK and South East Asia. Motivated to make people dance and become lost in a hypnotic jungle of deep electronic sounds Kruben fell in love with dance music at club nights at Slinky, Gods Kitchen and events like Homelands. With influences from classical composers like Górecki to producers like Underworld. Expect a different emotional journey with this track. Furthermore the German producers and DJs Zweiklang give the track a deeper note with their remix.

My new song ‘Shanty Rhymes’. As per always, this song was written, recorded and produced entirely by me. I used two instruments; my acoustic guitar and an 80s synthesiser (as well as a looped drum track). I am starting to become aware of the disproportionate number of my songs that include themes of drowning of the sea. I honestly don’t know why I sing about this so much. I must have some innate fear from generations back lol. Usually, it is a metaphor for something else and this song is no different. I was really trying to make this song as ethereal as possible at the final chorus with those swelling, dreamy, reverbed vocal melodies. I hope that came off. Please of listen to the end because it gets a lot louder and I think it is definitely worth it. Please let me know what you think. Thank you!
