scariest thing i’ve ever made

when i was in Nepal, my friends said: “you should go to Pashupatinath — a Hindu temple, and also a place where bodies are burned by the river.”

okay if i should

when we came, we saw a sheep tied to a post.

i was recording the sound of water when a little girl passed by and said, “hello, how are you?” — that voice stayed on tape.

and then, a funeral fire — a woman crying, completely shattered, a scream of despair cutting through the bones.

when we were leaving, the sheep was already dead, and everything around was covered in blood.

i used all those sounds in this track.

it’s about the horror of death, the weight of loss, and the question itself — what is this “you” being asked about? who is burning, and who is being mourned? who is crying? who is asking? how are you?

In light of Borealis' debut album "Voidness" two collections of 4 remixes each will be coming out both digitally and as limited edition transparent/black splatter 12"s. 

"Lovewarm" is first in line and there's no better time for it's highly anticipated release than February 14th aka Valentine's Day. 

Heavyweights Henry Saiz and Hecq are stepping up to the occasion with two stellar contributions accompanied by two of our very own future alumni, Dual Shaman and Aebeloe. Having no reference point in original versions, this release will hopefully put the spotlight on it's contributors while building up some excitement towards the album release.
