Transporting us into his melodic and epic sonic realm, Swiss-Belgian producer Paradoks returns to Purified Records with ‘Sea Of Infinity’. Devising a dramatic and soaring soundscape, his latest offering showcases his majestic and powerful musical identity. 

The ‘Sea Of Infinity’ artwork displays an incredible underwater scene captured by Daniel Nicholson. Our ocean is truly awe-inspiring, with more than 80% of the seafloor yet to be mapped and explored. Scientists estimate that more than 90% of ocean species have not been identified, and more than 2000 new marine species are discovered every year, which goes to show just how vast these underwater realms truly are. Shockingly, less than 3% of the ocean is fully protected, which results in overfishing, bottom trawling, and other destructive activities that continue to wreak havoc on the ocean. Scientists say we must protect at least 30% of the ocean by 2030 to stabilize our climate, stop wildlife exploitation, and secure an equitable, healthy future for life everywhere. At COP15 in December 2022, world leaders finally committed to putting this urgent initiative in place, and Only One launched their 30x30 campaign to hold world leaders to their promise to protect 30% by 2023. Kick-starting 2024 in emphatic fashion, Czech rising star Dominik Gehringer releases his highly-anticipated cut ‘Strange World’ on Purified Records. Revisiting Push’s iconic trance anthem, Dominik’s version enters a progressive dimension with masterful synth work and rumbling percussion and has already made a massive impact in sets around the world with its hypnotic presence. 

The ‘Strange World’ artwork showcases Daniel Nicholson’s spectacular still of a whale shark. Despite their imposing size, whale sharks exude an air of tranquility as they glide through the ocean, mouths agape to filter plankton-rich waters. These magnificent beings are not only the world’s largest fish, but they also hold a unique place in marine ecology as gentle filter feeders. Their longevity, reaching up to 70 years, has captured the attention of researchers keen on unraveling the mysteries of their lives. Organizations like the Marine Megafauna Foundation engage in vital conservation efforts, conducting research that not only aids in understanding the species, but also contributes to broader ocean health initiatives. Despite being filter feeders, whale sharks face threats like bycatch, boat strikes, and habitat degradation. Their slow reproductive rate makes them susceptible to population decline. They are listed as endangered according to the IUCN.
