Brenden LaBonte a.k.a. Forerunners has released a steady stream of immersive and unique tracks over the past 8 years, with remixes on various Solarstone labels. Something of an enigma as an artist, this Arizona based producer is definitely in the ‘quality over quantity’ camp. This EP contains 3 pieces of the finest progressive trance music that you’re likely to hear this year, where the focus is on the slow build, the journey, where filters ebb and flow, layers creep to the front then withdraw, where the percussion is hypnotic and the synths repetitive, and the melody draws the listener in with its subtlety, rather than a crass fanfare. It’s either early night material for big trance rooms, or peak time material for intelligent progressive floors – spun by DJ’s who know how to work a room. Utrecht-based producer Corren Cavini marks a defining moment in his career with his debut album, ‘A Place To Call Home’. Spanning 11 tracks, the record blends expansive melodic techno with intimate, cinematic passages, exploring themes of memory, connection and the evolving meaning of “home.” Several tracks -  including ‘Tell Me’ and ‘Heart Of Gold’ featuring Chris Howard, as well as ‘Listen To The Silence’ and ‘Agoraphobia’ have been shared ahead of the release, offering early glimpses into the album’s emotional depth and intricate sonic architecture. 

The record unfolds like a carefully guided journey: introspective passages give way to soaring crescendos, delicate textures are juxtaposed with propulsive rhythms and tender vocals emerge amidst richly layered arrangements. Huminal teams up with Dutch producer Mitch de Klein for the mesmerizing ‘Mirage’ EP, marking Mitch’s debut on Purified Records. Opening with the collaborative title track, ‘Mirage’, the duo delivers a deep yet playful journey built around groovy synth motifs and textured sound design, blending driving momentum with an effortlessly laidback edge. Intricate layers of rhythm and harmony create a uniquely infectious identity, perfectly balancing energy and finesse. On the flip side, Mitch presents his solo cut ‘Night Owl’ - an atmospheric excursion guided by emotive synth lines and expansive break moments. With its otherworldly character and evolving intensity, the track delivers a powerful late-night voyage. Taken by Rachel Moore, the ‘Mirage’ EP artwork features a delicate jellyfish drifting gracefully through the endless blue of French Polynesia. Rachel is a professional underwater photographer and environmental advocate dedicated to capturing the wonders of marine life. With a special focus on the grace and intelligence of humpback whales, her storytelling inspires a deeper connection to the ocean and a commitment to its preservation.

The Nature Conservancy (@nature_org) works to protect French Polynesia and beyond by restoring coral reefs, safeguarding marine habitats, and advancing sustainable practices in coastal communities. After two decades at the forefront of the dance music scene, Nick Bracegirdle AKA Chicane is preparing to release a long awaited retrospective, ‘Twenty’, set to drop on his own label Modena Records on July 29th.

CD One epitomises Nick’s passion and commitment to new music and dance talent. Crammed with remixes from some of the rising stars on the scene, the disc shows an entirely new side to Chicane. UK iTunes’ ‘Best Electronic Artist Of The Year’, Grum brings an euphoric remix of ‘Offshore’ to the table, full to the brim with dancing synths and deep basslines of what he acknowledges as “a universally acknowledged Ibiza classic.” His deep contemporary take on the track is dripping with his desire “to keep the timeless feel of the original club version, while bringing it into 2016 for DJ sets.” Meanwhile, the Earmilk-approved Thomas Datt offers up his own shimmering remix, the exhilarating crescendo of the track mixes the best of 90s trance with a 21st century minimalist twist. He explains that whilst creating his shimmering remix his “main focus was to get that classic Chicane pad just right to give it a whole new life; a more engulfing, epic feeling. Then came the guitar and piano…Once [he] got in Datt flow state, it more or less wrote itself.”
