It's an honour for us to have worked on the first Zero Tolerance Sessions 001.  

Our concept behind the mix was simple - we wanted to pay respects to those who built the foundations of the uncompromising deep and dark ZT sound before us, and who put Melbourne progressive house on the world map. We also wanted to showcase a group of current artists that we feel represents the present and future ZT sound.

Included in this mix are three original records, and four remixes that we have completed that will be coming out on Zero Tolerance later this year, as well as lots of unreleased tracks + re-edits.  If you've followed Zero Tolerance over the years you're in for a rollercoaster ride.

A tracklist will be available at a later date ,as we would love you to listen without any pre-conceptions and to maintain an element of surprise.  Feel free to comment and let us know what you think or if you'd like any Track ID's.

With the recent passing of our dear friend Phil K, we have decided to announce Hi-Fi Bugs – Lydian & The Dinosaur on Zero Tolerance Recordings as the first re-release not only as a sign of respect but to also honour his contribution as one of the founders of the label.

Commonly regarded as one of the most innovative breakbeat records of a generation, this mind-bending 12 minute journey has been remastered for your listening pleasure. 

There is no doubting the importance of this record. Originally made in 1997, it was light years ahead of its time and personified Andy Page and Phil K’s forward-thinking approach to writing music and arguably kick-started the worldwide progressive breaks movement that followed years later. 

Slow building, deep and moody this record then takes a sonic rollercoaster through meticulous editing and sound design climaxing with absolute grace. This masterpiece demands to be played in full and is now available digitally for the first time via Bandcamp and other digital download sites.

Zero Tolerance Sessions 002 - Gab Oliver

We're really happy to announce our new "Dark Rework" series, in which artists put their own darker interpretation on classic tracks.

Nash T - Orca which was released back in the day on EQ [Grey] Recordings was a staple track in any DJs record box that enjoyed dark grooves.  

After reaching out to Nash for some new material for Zero Tolerance (as fate would happen) another young producer in our direct ZT family from Argentina - Diego Moreira, got his hands on the record and has given it a modern interpretation.  It's deep, it's dark its tribal, a fantastic creative exploration in subtle and cerebral soundscapes.  

A huge thank you to Tom Pandzic head honcho at @balanceseries for approving and allowing Zero Tolerance to release this Dark rework.

Human was originally released on Zero Tolerance in 2001 and was one of the label's most iconic releases. It was one of the most definitive records written specifically for the Sunny dance floor originally intended only for Melbourne audiences, but quickly gained attention from all over the world and was championed by everyone from Sasha, John Digweed to Steve Lawler. It was distributed world wide as a single on the cover of Mixmag and featured on compilation's from John Creamer & Stephane K, Gab Oliver and more.

We are now proud to announce a 2023 remix package from some serious heavy hitters from Australia and around the world with nine outstanding remixes that represent Zero Tolerance's future as well as past.

Kasey Taylor provides a techno influenced version that harnesses deep impact. This captivative and relentless rendition unleashes powerful and hypnotic energy that showcases nuances of sound frequencies that defy conventional boundaries.

We are proud to announce our next Zero Tolerance release.
After a string of remix duties McKeown & Bassiray return to their home ground Zero Tolerance with the "Behaved EP" featuring two new original records "An Introduction" and "Flat Surfaces".
"An Introduction" was premiered on Depth Institute's Balance Selections mix last year and has been a highly requested release on the label. The opening record navigates a cinematic progressive mood, emphasizing subtleties with a driving tribal crescendo that is nuanced and heavily detailed.
"Flat Surfaces" draws inspiration from dubbier territory, with submerged percussion and a hypnotic arrangement that gradually envelopes and marinates over time. This twisted story is elevated by a level of familiarity for the ZT faithful whilst offering a forward-looking perspective, acknowledging the label's evolving trajectory.

For our next Zero Tolerance release we head to Argentina with two new remixes from of Jamie Stevens' Black Ruby EP courtesy of Analog Jungs and EANP.

Analog Jungs provide an inspired journey with their remix of "Path of None". Their contribution is moody and percussive, injecting a tribal undertone reminiscent of the halcyon era which is both haunting and devastatingly driving.

EANP’s craftmanship is on full display with their remix of “Black Ruby Of Voldesad”. The duo provides a deep voyage into the depths of groove, expanding on the nuance’s of the original’s drum programming that harnesses hypnotic energy.
