Who Am I Now? (Joseph Arruda)

A short intro part to a second take (for some reason I remember it was the second one) of an idea that started pretty spontaneously, then degraded after we tried to turn it into a composed piece.  The piece is live with no overdubs, hence the thinness of the synth and my drum track.  The synth and bass are by Greg Kucharo the guitar by John Casu and this is from 2005 or 2006 when a lot of our stuff evoked attempts to emulate parts of King Crimson.

Heavy Weather Orchestra - jam snippet

Done by the Heavy Weather Orchestra (Greg Kucharo on atmospherics/bass, John Casu on guitar and myself on drums) this was one of those spontaneous compositions that really should have found a longer-form before we called it a day.  It rolls like some weird marriage of Bill Frisell americana and Niney the Observer dub and is played live into Ableton.

I think I got the drums to sound that way using a combination of Ableton filters and a Kaoss unit.



Dubpedal (demo)

In complete contrast to the last track, this was a portion of a piece I worked on a dropped that I still would like to don something with.  It's kind of blaring club anthem synths at the start but at about the 15 second mark things get a bit more interesting.

Dirty Rayon

A small snippet of an early (2006) Ableton experiment; part of a batch of things done with sample/loop libraries almost en toto. It's short, but its my first upload/test post.  The title is a spoof of the P-Funk track "Funk Gets Stronger".  I used the same batch of Fender Rhodes sounds for weeks IIRC.
