'The Traveler' marks a new exploration in the works of prolific Ohio singer-songwriter/guitarist, Zack Fletcher. It is the first in a new collection called 'Ohio Reveries'; songs inspired by his home and the places it has taken him. Each of the five new tracks will be released as singles in the latter half of 2021 with the full collection and alternate versions to follow.

'The Traveler' has been in Fletcher's repertoire for several years. An early version first appeared as an entry for Guitar Center's Singer-Songwriter contest where the song and accompanying live performance video finished 17th in overall votes out of more than 7,000 entrants. After reworking it, Fletcher found the folk ballad was the perfect opening mission statement for his new 'Ohio Reveries' collection.

The song explores themes of loss and living for today. It came about following the sudden passing of a few friends and acquaintances within a short period of time. Fletcher was struck by how loved and full of life these individuals had been. 'The Traveler' takes the opportunity to reflect on life's fragility, and encourages the listener to be present in the here and now, and if for nothing else, live for those who no longer can.

'No Moon' is the new dreamy, contemplative single from prolific Ohio singer-songwriter/guitarist, Zack Fletcher. It follows 'The Traveler' as the second in a new collection called Ohio Reveries; songs inspired by his home and the places it has taken him. Each of the five new songs are being released as singles over the latter half of 2021 with the full collection and alternate versions to follow. 

Fletcher's lead single 'The Traveler' demonstrates the promise of his new collection. It received several positive reviews in indie outlets along with many playlist features. 'No Moon' has been in Fletcher's repertoire for several years and has been performed live often as a solo artist and with Moths in the Attic. 

The song explores themes of youth and loss of innocence. This recorded version features a dreaminess in the instrumentation that reflects the haze of thought and memory. The difficult realizations and experiences in life are easy to get lost in. The resolution reminds us to focus on those beacons... the axioms, truths, and people that can help lead us through those dark nights with no moon.

No Moon

'Compass Rose' is the new folk-inspired single from prolific Ohio singer-songwriter/guitarist, Zack Fletcher. It follows 'The Traveler' and 'No Moon' as the third in a new collection called Ohio Reveries; songs inspired by his home and the places it has taken him. Each of the five new songs are being released as singles over the latter half of 2021 with the full collection and alternate versions to follow. Fletcher's first two singles demonstrated the promise of his new collection, receiving several positive reviews in indie outlets along with many playlist features.

'Compass Rose' is the next in the collection and is the most musically uplifting so far. He's had the chord structure for many years, and was finally finished with inspiration from his wife. Lyrically, it describes his bouts of feeling directionless and overwhelmed, but resolves with a realization his wife has given him: it's okay to not see the path clearly... all you need is to have a direction. She continues to inspire him, ground him, and act as his compass rose.
