Smokescreen is one of the songs I really enjoyed working on. It's unhinged and the layers of vocals I did to capture that was quite a fun, playful and engaging process. I also wanted a song that had a bilingual element to it while also sounding edgy and motivational at the same time. Hence, Smokescreen was born.

Found this beat on YouTube, produced by Gaxillic, and it reminded me of the old songs I used to write with my guitar when I was young. Naturally, I got to writing. This was written today, 25 November 2025, at around 2:06 pm during my one-hour lunch break. It felt natural writing the melody and lyrics for this, and it was easy to follow that I finished the draft within an hour. It was a full circle moment for me, being patted by my younger self this time around.  Listening to it again, it feels like one of those songs you can use for a film as one of the soundtracks — or when you're just feeling dramatic. Pick your poison. 🤭
