Unfinished track from a couple of years ago that I tried some vocal ideas over....

Experimenting with some 500 series outboard. The snare has been passed through a Fredenstein 603A (4 band EQ with narrow Q) to eliminate resonant frequencies and open up the crack a bit before hitting the Fredenstein 602A tube compressor, with a focus on accentuating the punch.

The overheads were passed through a single Fredenstein 600A Compressor and sent back into a stereo channel again with no other processing.

Not looking for the ideal sound, but more exploring the upper limits of these units in real world applications.
