⇸ It was an absolute honour to have been invited to play at Fusion Festival, let alone on one of their biggest stages to 5000+ eager revellers at peak time on Saturday night. Big thank you to the crew for booking us! The production and energy was absolutely incredible. Tom Baker, Jedidiah and I had flown from Canada where we played at Groove & Bass Festival 36 hours before our sets at Fusion, arriving in Germany just a few hours before our performance times. We were knackered, but riding the adrenaline high - we nailed it.

⇸ Kosmos Festival is very special. Finland and it's people welcomed us with so much warmth, from entering the country, right through to my experience at one of the Nordic regions key psychedelic music festivals. Stone Seed took to the Spacetime Stage on Friday night for our label showcase, which I completed with a two hour set as the daylight slowly dripped through the tree tops and the sun gradually rose. The Spacetime Stage was a cove deep in the Finnish forest, fitted with epic stage design, decor, lighting, visuals and honestly the creamiest, tightest sound system I've probably ever heard.

I can't wait to return to Kosmos <3

⇸ Our second year at Sisyphos was absolutely phenomenal. We took to The Tunnel floor then the Hammahalle main room for a total of 14 hours in August 2023. Axon, then Tom Baker & Jedidiah captained the Tunnel, then Vorpal and I led the Hammahalle for the closing session of the weekend. It's an incredible honour to play at this club, and especially to be granted a showcase for Stone Seed and SixthSense Australia.

I love curating my set specifically for the time and place, so this slot was perfect for me to delve into a generally heavier, filthier, and quicker side of my DJ explorations... of course, with a dose of soul.

For years I've been conceptualising my own podcast series, unknowing which direction I wanted to take it musically, and what I wanted a listener to understand from listening to it. Searching through energy levels, moods, meaning, moral... and what I landed on was an emission of empowerment. "Seize The Being" means, to foresee the best you can be and make sure you become that. See your dreams and take them tightly with two hands. Nothing will get in your way with the right attitude.

I recorded this mix at home when I had the sudden urge to, listening back to it I realised that this was going to be the first of a personal podcast series as I felt a lot when I recorded it and just as much every time I listen back to it. Though I would generalise this mix as deep house, "Seize The Being" series won't be restricted to genre, more so it will encapsulate a powerful mood conjured with deeper and more progressive styles of techno and house.

The release of this podcast series also coincides with my first claimable tour, consisting of 12 gigs over 2 months including some of the best brandings in Sydney (SASH), Melbourne (Circus, Breakfast Club) and Queensland (elsewhere, Dragonfruit, Depth), supporting Alex Stein on 2 stops of his Australian tour (Melbourne and Coffs Harbour), and ending my run of gigs with NSW's biggest boutique psychedelic event, Psyfari.

Seize The Being ~ Personal Podcast

For each opportunity I get to DJ, I take on the event and interpret it the best I can, to create something that can drive the necessary energy on the dancefloor... A few months ago Zac Slade approached me and asked me to do the opening set for ASTRIX, arguably the biggest progressive psy-trance act ever. My jaw dropped, and I knew I had to put forth something of my best and tried my hardest to fit the bill; groove laden psychedelia, deep and pumping progressive and minimal techno. Keep your eye on Hypnotic Events, taking psychedelic parties in Sydney to another level.

ZigMon Opening Set at Psychology feat. ASTRIX

Wow, what an incredible few weeks it was in Thailand. Immersing myself in the culture and experiencing levels of kindness and generosity I didn't realise whole peoples could be capable of. Me and my partner fell in love with the country and cannot wait to go back. The beaches, the food, the pina coladas! (oh so many)

The festival was of course another huge amazing experience for me being the first international gig I had played. I was blown away by the production of the festival, over the moon when I found out only days before it that I had been moved from the second stage to the monstrous main stage. With this set I aimed to deliver something unique to the festival; a touch of Australia, a touch of Bassic and a touch of me.

A big thank you to my amazing girlfriend who I travelled with and supports me endlessly in my musical journeys <3

Easily one of my most exhilarating sets thus far. As the darkness took hold of the night, I took to the decks. 8-9:30pm on Saturday night to be exact. Laying down strong progressive techno with emotive flair, I was flattered to see the dancefloor fill to such a degree during my set.

Thank you for that energy. It's why I do what I do.

My beloved El Stompo stage held strong all weekend but the Saturday was truly special. I played alongside One Man Orchestra, John Baptiste, Doppel, Shepz, Triforce, Handsdown & Leigh Boy, Purple Hayes, Volkiene and Squid.

About this set:

"It's difficult to find the words to describe the things I felt and experienced at Elements 2020. Undoubtedly, it was one of the most energetically intense gatherings I've ever been to. Extreme togetherness after extreme isolation; an event so close to the heart yet so adverse to the global current affairs; incredible music on monstrous sound systems; the heat; hugging friends; losing a brother; yoga in the dirt; lack of sleep; raising the vibrations; wondering why the fuck we were so fortunate to do this; worried about the state of the world; hopeful for the future...

After four full days at the festival, at 1am on the last night I took to the main stage. I did my best to understand the culmination of these energies and emotions and bring closure to the event, inspiration and warmth to the people, through the music, without the confines of genre.

Thank you so much to everyone who facilitated this event and poured their sweat and blood into it (you know who you are) and everyone who danced until their feet hurt all weekend (you know who you are too).
