Project Zil - Dil Ki Khair Cover -  Ali Asad

Honoring faiz sahab on his 36th death anniversary with this beautiful masterpiece that appears in the second section of Naqsh-e-Fariyadi, which marks Faiz's shift from traditional Urdu poetry to “poetry with purpose”, poetry with social conscience pursuing social causes. Faiz quotes Persian poet, Nizami: “Dil-e-ba-farokhtam jaan-e-khareedam” ( “I have sold my heart and bought a soul”), right at the begining of this section.

This tribute was recorded live in jam room setup to give it an organic feel and listening experience to you all.
