Da die Tage gezählt sind, die der schönste Floor Berlins noch so steht, wie man ihn kennt, wollte ich mein letztes Set aus dem Theater im Mensch Meier mit euch teilen. Diesmal wieder mit viel Bass & Bounce. Der Floor ist aus allen Nähten geplatzt und ich habe mich so sehr gefreut so viele bekannte Gesichter im Publikum zu sehen <3

Corios @ Theater -  Mystic Creatures 23.09.23

Huiuiuiui. Das war “einfach - ehrlich - blau”… und absolutamente fantastisch!!
4 Stunden Abfahrt plus 45 spontane Extraminuten weils so schön war.
Und frei nach dem Motto "wenn fast nur noch Knaller Tracks mit Vocals produziert werden, dann spielen wir halt fast nur noch Knaller-Tracks mit Vocals" kann diesmal nicht nur getanzt, sondern auch mitgesungen werden ;)

Danke an alle, die es möglich und unvergesslich gemacht haben. Ramschakllove!

PS: Leider hat es das erste Drittel nicht aufs Recording geschafft (irgendwas ist immer) und wurde daher via Remote Auflegen in Ableton neu gemacht und drangeschnippelt. Haben uns Mühe gegeben, dass aber trotzdem alles klingt wie ganz in echt ;)

💿 Wiederstand als Teil des Spiels 💿

💭 Das Leben ist gespickt mit Widerständen und Herausforderungen aller Art. Insbesondere dann, wenn man es sich gerade so richtig gemütlich gemacht hat, kommt diese eine Sache. Kommt die Nachricht, dass das Paket nicht zugestellt werden konnte, die Rechnung viel höher ausfällt als geplant oder die Krankheit gravierender ist als vorerst angenommen. Im ersten Moment bricht eine Welt zusammen und dieser "erste Moment" kann sich auch über Stunden und Tage ziehen. Man ist wütend, verzweifelt, resigniert und fühlt sich vom Leben abgeschlagen. In dieser Situation gibt es entweder die Möglichkeit, sich in die negative Abwärtsspirale fallen zu lassen, oder erst einmal Abstand zu gewinnen. Das gelingt am besten mit Bewegung, frischer Luft und in der Natur. Nach einer gewissen Zeit sieht die Welt gleich ein bisschen rosiger aus. Das Problem ist zwar nicht gelöst, doch der mentale Widerstand gebrochen.

🎵 Heute haben wir die Newcomerin Jessi Herz zu Gast auf KataHaifisch. Kennengelernt haben wir uns im Rahmen unserer KataHaifisch-Events und Aufenthalte in Wien. Jessi legt erst seit diesem Jahr Musik auf. In diesem verhältnismäßig kurzen Zeitraum bringt sie jedoch schon einiges an Downtempo Drive an den Start. Wir wünschen viel Vergnügen mit dieser flauschig-treibenden Downsnappy Reise.

The extremely talented Frankfurt-based producer with a certain penchant for melancholy and big feelings needs no further introduction. We're talking about the lovely https://soundcloud.com/cedricscheibel, who everyone should really know. His releases definitely speak for themselves. As expected, his eye-opening mix is in the same vein. The catchy "Inception" opener alone is first class and opens the gates to the world of the 'Scheibelian' master, from which he never lets us leave. Trapped in the fundamental state of luminescence here and there he presses the accelerator a little. But very discreetly and naturally with a lot of organic and deep elements. Plus this deep & dreamy atmosphere. Simply magnificent and great cinema for mind and body. Definitely a mix for the all-time afterhour playlist and beyond. Word.

How this mix came about and what his thoughts behind it, he reveals to us as usual in our short interview:

✔️ What are your musical influences? What is your musical background?

As a child, I took my first musical steps on the piano, until I discovered my passion for electronic music as a teenager.  For a year now I have been trying to combine these two almost opposing worlds in my sets and productions. :)

✔️ In your opinion, what is the perfect afterhour for you?

The right people! Not too many, not too few. But with the right people around you, an afterhour is really fun anywhere and under any circumstances :)

✔️ What thoughts would you like to share with us about your mix?

I haven't recorded a podcast for a long time. Although this one is now a little faster than usual, it is still slightly melancholy as always, but also hopeful. Perhaps that's why it's very appropriate for the time of year, but also for world events in general.  Especially in times like these, I think it's important not to lose hope. :)

There are many of my own productions and of course from many artists that I really appreciate! I hope you enjoy listening. :)

🚢 Wow, what an incredible feeling to play at beloved Dampfer for the very first time! 💞🧜‍♀️ Having dreamt of this moment for years, I would have never imagined myself playing downtempo in Sisyphos.. since this was also the first time, that the Naked Tea Party took place in Dampfer, I think it's fair to say, it was a special event for all of us. 💫 To see the floor transform into something new through the music played, was just magical. All together, we - hosts, organizers, dancers & djs - created such a smooth, pleasant atmosphere. A memorable night. Thankful, to participate in this. ✨

Grateful, that I was trusted to curate music as I please, thus the sets starts off smooth and moderate, in a way 'warming up' and paving the way to slow'n'deep, yet driving eccentricity, without speeding up bpm. Just, what felt right for this special occasion 🌓

✘ maybe could you tell us how did you get into the music cooking pot ?
- I started organizing techno partys with my friends back home when we were 15 and our big role model was Bar 25.
At that time some of my friends were dj´s already, but I was mostly responsible for the bar. My love for the music, especially Downtempo, was already big at that time, but then, about four years ago, I needed to start to dj myself and since that time I´m obsessed with it and for me its such a big passion and pleasure, that I´m curious to see, where this wonderful journey will take me :)

This Set was recorded at Beate Uwe Barfuß. For a while now it´s my favourite living room for having cozy slowed down sundays. As the name says “barfuß” I was standing there barefeet while playing and for this opportunity I pulled out some of my favourite melodic tunes, mixed with some Downtempo.
