this is chapter 10 in my series of mixes called 'trust me i was there' - this one is pt 2 from 1991. as i said in the last one, you can really hear the sound changing, more breakbeats and to my ears a more bedroom studio sound.

I have just finished compiling Ghetto Dubz Vol 3 compilation album. 29 tracks...
Expected release date is the end of November 2023

2. Tell us about your show on Eruption Radio.

So I have a weekly show on www.eruptionradio.uk. Its Thursday morning from 10am - Midday (UK Time)
the predominant focus of the show is New Jungle of all tempos but i do occasionally delve into some D&B or Hardcore. You might even catch me doing an oldskool show now and again. The show also features guest mixes so if you want to do one get in touch.

Vinyl Junkie - Everyday Junglist Podcast-Episode 509

I recorded this way back in 2003 back when the phrase "jump up" was starting to be applied to a load of modern D&B with pretty negative connotations. To me, jump up always meant something different and is a style of jungle that I absolutely love. 

So, I decided to put together a mix showcasing the sorts of tunes that I would say fall into that category and here it is. These are the sorts of tracks that I remember getting played loads on the pirates (especially the ones from 95 - 96) back in the day. All at +8 with MCs tripping over themselves over the top. 

Some of these I probably wouldn't play in this sort of set today, they've all been a bit rinsed over the years. There are another 4 of these style mixes which I'll post up eventually which all dig much deeper into the shelves and have plenty more slept on gems.
