I initially created this song imagining a ps2 video game ‘choose your character’ screen in which the characters would have a grooving/dancing animation as the player is looking for a character they wanna play. I took inspiration from house music of the 90s, early 2000s, and club music from those eras. Another inspiration were soundtracks from the ridge racer games which were heavily influenced by those musical eras. Artists like Kimara Lovelace and Robin S were big inspirations for this song as well with their soulful powerful voices over house beats, so that’s what I went for with this song. Originally, this song wasn’t gonna have lyrics, but I ended up playing with melodies and put words on the track and then it started speeding toward the sort of dance club vibe that it has now and I ended up writing this song in like an hour. I hope u like it as much as I do and I hope it makes ya move if you feel like you can’t.💙🪩✨
