New Set: Gyūki explores the darker side of my selections, a continuous force moving from driving melodic sounds to delicate, grooving dark tempos.

Cover art: Gyūki is a yōkai from the folklore of western Japan. The folklore describes multiple types of ushi-oni, but most depict it as a bovine-headed monster, a force of nature that reveals the mudslide.

The Passing Nights - The Setting Sun

ZIYING is a London-based DJ and the curator behind Anima Mundi (AM), a series built around the darker, deeper corners of house and techno. His sets carry weight, emotion fused with rhythm, tension cut with release, drawing dancers into the core of his sound.

Shaped by London’s underground, his approach goes far beyond track selection. Every set is a piece of his own history, delivered through stripped-back groove, progressive movement, and a focus on feeling over flash. ZIYING plays to connect, pushing for that raw emotional pull that sits between melody and momentum.

Driven by the belief that music speaks where words often cannot,  he channels his influences into performances that land with sincerity and force. His evolving craft has carved out a presence across the city’s electronic landscape, marking him as an artist whose sound is both intimate and uncompromising.

He has shared the booth with Nick Warren, Guy J, Armen Miran, Tim Green, Aera, Rodriguez Jr., Made By Pete, Jim Rider, and Rafael Cerato, with appearances ranging from Ministry of Sound, Steel Yard, Studio 338, and No.90, to grassroots spaces such as House of Gaffe and M.0.T.
