Quite Harmonical, "Styl Plus- Runaway" was a fav song of mine when I was young, so I decided to cover the chorus in acapella. Original chorus are in harmonies as well so I didn't wanna have to sing it exactly the same else it would be boring to me so I like added stuff, maybe too much but oh well. Hope you like it :)

“Sampuli” is the latest banger from British Nigerian UK Afrobeat/Alte artist “Zizibo”. It’s the first release of the year from the singer/song-writer and producer who’s hoping to contribute to the continuous rising of Afrobeats in the music industry.
Produced by the talented Babarons (Musician and producer – musician on Wizkid’s “True love”), Sampuli is a phrase coined by “Zizibo” which is a play on the world “sample” and can be described as the act of Sampling/testing/trying something, in this case his love interest.
Sampuli encompasses high-life and rnb – with mellow guitars at intervals from Godwin Sonzi who is known for notable guitar melodies on major afrobeat/afroswing hits. Packed with endearing harmonies and a groovy bass rhythm, Zizibo entices his love interest, with a promise to provide, love and “sampuli” her. The song is an all round vibe.
With the artwork showing Zizibo as a musical genie coming out of a lamp, granting the owner any of their wishes, Zizibo is using this illustration to stamp his foot as a musical magician and the afrobeat crooner is committed to exploring this narrative further as he enjoys and develops his musical journey

The song inspired Zizibo himself, stems from his personal experiences, and he hopes the song can inspire others the way it inspired him, and that the people in general who resonate with the song can continue to hope, believe, and be resilient in chasing their dreams and not give up in achieving whatever goals they have no matter the setbacks and difficulty. With God, hard-work, determination & positive thinking, all things are possible!

UK Talented Afro-Eclectic singer, Zizibo, is starting 2018 with another anticipated single that is set to challenge the current UK Afrobeat scene, showing that he’s here to create and to stay. 

Gboriwole is a feel good heart-warming record filled with melodical harmonies and soulful love-struck verses. Gboriwole is a tune that draws upon Zizibo’s Nigerian roots using a blend of igbo and yoruba sounds to woo his love into accepting him while also celebrating the achievements of himself and of the people around him. 
 
The song celebrates Zizibo as he reaches over 230K plays on his first hit single “Pamilayo” which opened doors to him performing at Afrobeats Live, Viva Nights, 1990s official and get featured in Urban Hype Magazine, perform alongside Adekunle Gold, Sona and Afro B, get interviewed on ABN, Radar and Reprezent radio.

This tune, produced by the talented Ransom Beats, sets the vibe for the many other tunes that Zizibo will be rolling out this year. His performance of “Gboriwole” at last year’s A Touch of Afrobeats, captured the sensation of the song and led to the song being requested by popular DJs like Supermidz & J3 to be premiered on their mixes.

Gboriwole

2am is the recent release by UK Afrobeat Artist Zizibo. Produced beautifully by talented & Associate producer Jaylow of White Block Group, the Afro-soul song features Zizibo’s unique melodic flow, which fits right into the current sound that Afrobeat music listeners currently enjoy.

The song explains Zizibo’s intentions as he encourages his lover to open up to him more. Zizibo explained that the song was originally a freestyle before structuring it into a track before he begins releasing music from upcoming EP project slated to be released by the end of the Year.

Zizibo is currently working on new music, organising collaborations with other artists and working on his EP. He plans to release a few more tracks in the next few months that he’s assured will blow our minds.

Following on from his 2020 album My Millennial Love Diary which was released in April, Zizibo returns with the EP Diasporan Love, which is a seamless blend of traditional, swing and Afro funk. A sound which is current but very distinctive to his music and embodies why he calls himself the Music Magician.

Right from the artwork we can tell that this is an ode to a love interest existing in a world where there is only the two of them.

Opening the EP is the track, My Zone on which the self proclaimed Music Magician immediately sets the tone and feel of the journey he is about to take us on. My Zone is a sweet melodic song infused with pockets of harmonies which is a trademark quality of Zizibo’s music. Lyrically confident and assertive, he sings of wanting just her - “imma need that ass tonight...with consent” - we stan a consent seeking serenader! 


Very much like My Millennial Love Diary, the themes on this EP is immensely about love, however this time aimed at one lady who now exists with him in their world, a lead on from the last track on MMLD Iyawo Mi (My Wife) .

The E.P has no features, but as usual he once again join forces with creative inputs from Babarons, FishesWrites, Mr MTMMG, Godwin Sonzi (Guitars), as well as Alex Tony Mars (Sax – Pretty pretty, Let the Sax Play). Also featured production from the incredible Producer/Musical Director Jaylow (from the Outsiders) & Ransom Beatz & BabaRons & Zizibo himself make this a fortified union that is most definitely built to last.


Let the Sax Play is a fun and playful song which transports the listener to a place where it’s just them and somebody’s son or daughter in romantic bliss. Put simply, it is grown and sexy music sure to lift the listeners mood! Once again, Zizibo links up with Alex Tony Mars who provides the groovy sax playing featured on this and the phenomenal track Pretty Pretty.

Pretty Pretty, the 3rd track is a stellar addition to this impeccable body of work. A blend of live guitars,sax and bass culminating in an Afro funk explosion; Zizibo, produced by long time friend Ransom Beatz serenades his love interest in his native dialect Yoruba and woos the listener too. This is one of those tracks that re-affirms not needing to understand what’s being said to love a song. Zizibo beams with suave confidence notably evident by the use of the lower than usual register which he sings on also highlighting his vocal range. The alto sax steals the show as it effortlessly drifts and blends with Zizibo’s mellow vocals and creates a musical dialogue between the singer and the instrumentalist which is sonically pleasing. This coupled with the inclusion of a choir towards the end makes the outro extra special and it is a welcomed addition to a song I am certain will be heralded as one of his best to date.


The journey comes to a conclusion with the track Here which is best described as a Lo-Fi Afro Swing with strong 808s and a tropical melodic beat by Jaylow.  A song about longing for a lover who has gone away, maybe even for a minute but the love is so strong you want them back in your world.
Delivering a boastful hook and harmonies perfectly laid, “you should be here/ making love to me” he croones longingly.

Having released 2 projects this year, music lovers can expect to see a few visuals very soon, some new singles, as well as an album full of surprises next year.

One thing’s evident, it won’t be long before we all agree that he is indeed the music magician and he is here to stay.
