This is a piece created by Duncan Chapman from recordings of forced rhubarb growing at David Westwood & Son rhubarb farm, near Wakefield. You can hear the rhubarb buds popping as they burst and also some mud as we squelched around in the dark. The audio has been cleaned up as much as possible to remove the sound of both the M62 and M1 motorways which are nearby!

Sometimes the fit takes me to make something a bit louder than my normal stuff ... a wee bit of noise. Here's one of those pieces.

This one needs to be played LOUD! (Try headphones to really clean your brain out).

It was originally written for a dance piece called 'Don't Think About A Purple Daisy' by Joanna Young (Thanks to Eleanor Sikorski for the inspiration for the title for this track).
