In an investigatory arena of sound replete with layers of vibration and texture, where subtleties coalesce with severity, where form and function create a purposeful structure and give pleasure to the senses, is where we find Hjem podcast’s eleventh artist, Montreal local, Le Binch. From his 2008 beginnings in mixing and track collecting to a recent and uncompromising enthusiasm in production, Le Binch’s style has evolved into a multidimensional expertise in musical adventure. Inspired by artists in like-minded enterprise such as Pan-Pot, Hans Bouffmyhre, Rødhåd, Yan Cook and Vinicious Honorio, Le Binch offers divergent and imaginative charms to feed the cognitive appetite that is essential to the purist Techno audience. In marathon fashion, Le Binch selects tracks that unite cheeky and eccentric explorations with hypnotic protraction, inclusive of a range of subgenre influences such as electro-industrial, German new-wave and groovy EBM. Apart from these attributes, Le Binch holds a rare gift for break arrangements, composing experimental and alluring intermissions that keep the audience committed. In addition to this, listeners can expect universal themes of community, empowerment, accountability, open-mindedness, and reflection in his vocal track selections. An evident suggestion to participate in the Techno community as a whole. Currently focusing on individuality and identity in track production, Le Binch endeavors to release tracks that align with the vast Techno spectrum that he enjoys playing. Piotr Ho - Warsaw based DJ and promoter active on the scene since 2016. Co-founder of Bunker Events - the crew responsible for the Fort Open Air series of events and number of club events, co-founder of PLENER - summer open air venue.

Over the time, he expanded his organizational activities and became a DJ, the effects of which you could hear on many national dance floors and festivals. Organization of events integrating various genres, from downtempo, through house and techno, to psychedelic trance music, confirmed his need for a cross-sectional view on music. It resulted in regular performances at various events, not limited only to techno, where he presents his favorite sounds selection.

Superiority of a deep groove over the pace with a rough kick, is a principle he follows to keep the hypnotic atmosphere. His favourite labels are Ostgut Ton, Innervisions, Pole Group, The Gods Planet, Giegling, Ninja Tune, Lobster Theremin, Dystopian, Disco Halal, Gradient, Children of Tomorrow or Katermukke.

"San Francisco techno stalwart Max Gardner has inaugurated his and Cory Simpson's Peer record label with a five-track EP. The concepts comprising This is a Test [PEER001] range from cold and contemplative to bold and incendiary, hinting at what's to come from the fledgling imprint.
'Clamor' kicks off the EP with hypnotic lead synths and eerie atmospheres that contrast curiously with its title. Sound layers enter and leave unpredictably, but with a structure on which one can't seem to put their finger.
Elastic sonics and cavernous kick drums usher in 'For Realness' next. Expertly placed hi-hats frame a dubby, vaguely Detroit-reminiscent melody that builds to a fever pitch before a sample of the track's namesake takes center stage in the arrangement. Also included in the EP is a remix of 'For Realness' by Insolate whose upbeat rhythms adapt the source material for a peak-time DJ set.
At the crucible of the effort is the title track, a single in which psychedelic sonics create a seldom-heard tension and release dynamic. Clever stereo panning makes for sounds that bubble up and emerge in a roiling cycle of death and rebirth.
Reimagining the source material is none other than Los Angeles techno figurehead Drumcell, whose rendition differentiates itself with driving percussion and corrosive textures.
This is a Test makes a firm statement on Peer's position in the world of techno moving forward. Building their endeavors upon a philosophy of artistic integrity, Gardner, Simpson and company bring credibility that affords their fledgling label early recognition ”

In love and inspired by the new French, Belgian and German techno scene. She loves groove, a strong, galloping kick and a variety of melodies and vocals.
She doesn't like long, pompous descriptions, thinks that music is the most important thing, so just listen and get carried away...!

A note from the artist:

Launching in January 2022, DSC (Deepak Sharma Collection) is a new digital series where I’ll be releasing an individual track each month.

The project materialized from the pandemic as an outlet to keep busy and sane from the isolation.  From fresh material to digging into the vault and editing older sketches, everyone was fair game.

The result is a collection of varied works where the sound is consistent with what I’m known for: stripped-down, rolling and hypnotic atmospheres ideal for dark dance floors which I missed both as a DJ and a dancer.

The first two years of DSC have been completed so I see this offering becoming a resource for DJs to grab a tool when they need it on a more consistent basis from me.

First access will be available on BandCamp, then later in the month the usual digital outlets with their own page on Beatport and then stream services such as Spotify.

I hope you’ll join me on the journey and enjoy the series!
