Tom Waits (on Jim Wilson): "Wilson, he's always playing with time. I heard a recording recently of crickets slowed way down. It sounds like a choir, it sounds like angel music. Something sparkling, celestial with full harmony and bass parts - you wouldn't believe it. It's like a sweeping chorus of heaven, and it's just slowed down, they didn't manipulate the tape at all. So I think when Wilson slows people down, it gives you a chance to watch them moving through space. And there's something to be said for slowing down the world."

To celebrate Brazilian singer and composer Caetano Veloso’s 70 birthday, Beck contributed a cover of “Michelangelo Antonioni” to the album A Tribute to Caetano Veloso.

The beginning of a cover of a lovely song by OK Go.  Needs a solo, and I’m considering nixing some of the backup vocals for... ukulele or something...?  Not sure, but I love the song so very much.

Primarily a cellist, although there's at least as much singing and playing of things like the ukulele here as there is cello at the moment.  Classically trained and experienced in many genres and styles, I'm about as at home on stage as I am in my actual house.  I consider performing an art that is separate from and as important as playing, and enjoy immersive performance and working in character.  

This channel is currently all drafts that I fooled around with in the middle of the night when having lots of feelings about this or that and then abandoned.  I would like to record them properly sometime soon, though, and I use feedback on the tracks in these very, very rough states to gauge potential and interest.  Constructive criticism welcome, judgement should be left at the door.  Suggestions for other songs also welcome, but no promises - inspiration is a fickle mistress and strikes only where she pleases.
