SOD-90 is a French hybrid artist, producer, DJ, and classical flutist. He began producing electronic music while studying at the conservatory in Berlin, developing a sound defined by raw textures, twisted synths, heavy drums, and complex arrangements. His music seeks to capture the fragile balance between raw grit and functional club power.

Supported by leading names and with releases on Avoidant, Warehouse Manifesto, Strange But Dance Music, and Bipolar Disorder, SOD-90 continues to refine his aesthetic while carving his own path outside conventional industry trends. His next EP will be released next month on Co-Accused Records.

An emblem of the turn of the millennium. It echoes and reverberates even today—just like Bexley Mellish, the Amsterdam-based DJ whose zapping sounds defy convention. 

His blend of Electro, EBM, IDM, and Cinematix can only be described as ear-splitting, discordant, metallic, robotic—with an underlying foundation of rumbling bass. Born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon, Bexley spent countless hours online, digitally diving through Napster, Limewire and the likes curating a musical library that is ever-evolving, yet cemented in a harsh and hard-hitting – yet emotive - sonic palette.

The prophecy had been whispered for ages among the circuits and fiber optics: a being would emerge, not from flesh and blood, but from the very essence of sound. They called it pdqb, and for its disciples, it was nothing less than a deity. Its sermons weren't just songs; they were divine pronouncements, revelations broadcast directly into the souls of its followers.
When pdqb "speaks," the world vibrates. Intricate sonic tapestries, woven from raw electricity and pure emotion. Hands, if they could be called hands, that dance across controls that seem to manipulate the very fabric of reality.

Synaptic Cliffs and the Missechusatts Institute of Elecronicity proudly present the latest peer-reviewed sermons of pdqb as well as the associated validation studies from the Dopplereffekt-Institut für Retroaktive Zukunftsforschung, located in section 334 of the Mariana Trench. The contributions to the data carrier presented here are characterized by the following features:
- Crescendos of swirling arpeggios
- Synth lines arced like a bolt of cosmic energy

This time I am sharing a selection of works that I have been slowly developing throughout the summer months. They are the result of a personal process of exploration, where I have tried to learn, experiment, and challenge myself with new sounds, effects, and different ways of connecting and editing them. From a techno perspective, these tracks are not meant to be definitive statements, but rather small steps in my path of growth as a producer.

Each piece was first imagined in silence, in those quiet moments where ideas arrive unexpectedly and invite you to listen more deeply. Many of them were started during different trips, inspired by the places, moods, and atmospheres I experienced along the way. Later, I returned to them with patience in my studio, where I took the time to polish and finish them during the last few months.

What I share here is not a final destination, but part of an ongoing process. These tracks are exercises in learning and, at the same time, honest attempts to capture ritms and patterns. My intention is to eventually use them in a live performance, where I hope they can connect with others in a more direct and genuine way.

Foundation and Early Years (1993–2003)

In 1993, DJ Zodiak (Marc Pulles) founded Zodiak Commune (partyorganisation), initially as a spontaneous rave after a birthday party. The collective quickly became a legendary force in the Dutch electronic underground. Zodiak was the driving force behind Zodiak Commune parties, a central figure in shaping the second wave of underground Acid and Electro in the Netherlands.

Foundation and Early Years (1998–2003)

Zodiak Commune Records (the label) was founded in 1998 by DJ Zodiak as the label arm of the Zodiak Commune collective. From the start, the label was vinyl-first, representing the raw and innovative spirit of Acid music.

The label released tracks covering the breadth of underground acid styles, including Acid Techno, Electro Acid, and Acid IDM, and quickly became recognized as an influential player in the Dutch electronic underground, helping to shape and sculpt the scene.

Between 1998 and 2003, the label also organized Zodiak Commune Records label parties at major cultural venues, including Effenaar (Eindhoven), Doornroosje (Nijmegen), 013 (Tilburg), and other locations across the Netherlands and Belgium.

Slower Phase (2003–2017)
------------------------------------
After Zodiak stepped back as a DJ and transferred the Zodiak Commune party organization to a non-profit foundation in 2003, the label entered a slower period. Releases were less frequent, but Zodiak Commune Records remained active and respected in the underground scene.

Revival and Expansion (2017–Present)
------------------------------------
In 2017, Zodiak fully reactivated the label, returning with renewed energy and focus. Since then, Zodiak Commune Records has expanded its activities and built a strong international presence, while remaining true to its vinyl-first Acid identity.

The label now operates multiple sub-labels, including:
* Deep Acid Records – Electro House–oriented
* Outlaw303 – Raw Acid and Electro Acid
* Same Size Soul – Pure Electro
This structure allows the label to explore different underground sounds while staying deeply rooted in the Acid movement.

Zodiak Commune Records places a strong emphasis on supporting new talent alongside established artists, providing a platform for fresh voices in the scene. The team behind the label includes:
* Zodiak (Marc Pulles) – founder & head
* Chris Nexus Six– artwork and visual identity
* Paul Renard – Acid- House & Techno focus – Deep Acid & Zodiak Commune Records
* DJ Feryne – Electro focus – Same Size Soul & Zodiak Commune Records

Together, the team continues to push the underground Acid and Electro movement forward, with the label standing as one of the most consistent and respected names in the European Acid scene.

Looking ahead, Zodiak Commune Records plans to resume label parties, continuing the tradition of live events that showcase their artists and connect directly with the underground community.

Since 2003, Zodiak Commune (the party organization) and Zodiak Commune Records (the label) have been completely separate entities, each with its own team and activities. Zodiak remains fully involved with the label but is no longer connected to the party organization.
