‘Coming off the EP overview I went with the chorus on this track like I was an archeologist going into a Mayan temple for the first time and trying to decipher the etchings on the wall and comparing this by trying to read the girl I talk about in the song. Obviously you can’t write a track about the Mayans because I know I have to make something that people want to listen to but I just want to give an idea of the thoughts on my mind when I’m writing tracks like this. I imagine it as a Hip Hop track that could have scored Apocalypto like I mentioned in a recent interview with Irish Rap Zone that I take huge inspiration from movies, TV shows, videogames and I love to make metaphors and themes around them.
I definitely think this is one of my favourite songs I’ve made to date in both the lyrics and song structure. I talk about the subject of the song getting off on me starting fights on their behalf, how they formulate it like a plan and I just play into it, I think you eventually come to see that this isn’t the type of person you want to be or want to be with. I definitely flex the confidence I’ve grown in my music the last few years in the verses of this track I think. ‘
